Nice kill...A well setup bolt-on LS1 can be faster then many of these half *** cam LS1 cars you see around here regularly. The days of solid LS platforms out roaming the streets are getting few and far between....it's all budget bull **** combinations with drive thru dollar menu tunes.

ALL of the bolt on ls1's I ever ran I checked out.
power to weight for a typical bolt on ls1 means he weighs 2990 to just stay even.

Lots of people go with the cheapest parts and in the process not only get less than full gains but add weight in the process. lots of things i see are as follows.
Big cam-stock heads (car makes no power down low)
Full tubular suspension, lca's, sfc, panhard bar, ds loop, tq arm etc. some of these are absolutley needed but for a drage race most are not and they add weight too boot if the customer isnt careful about what parts they choose.
1-3/4 headers cheap brands.... make most of the power but a set of 1-7/8 will always gain.
the list could easily go on but the point is that many people overlook the small things or take the cheap way out and that can sacrifice performance. all in all though that 5.0 is sexy looking and I'd still drive one haha

Yea man....I had them on my watch list cause I knew they put them on sale from time to time. Ebay sent me a email that they were on sale for $282. So I clicked them and they were almost $700 I emailed them and they said there supplier changed but they were working on getting the old price back.
