Bolt on 5.0 vs full bolt on, pullied cobra

Default Bolt on 5.0 vs full bolt on, pullied cobra

A couple guys I know ran their cars a few months ago, the cobra actually put down 480hp and 520tq, the 5.0 on motor was around 440hp. Does the run on just motor make sense? I didn't think a bolt on 5.0 would do that to a bolt on and pullied cobra. He swears he didn't spray but after the race his bottle was hooked up it just wasn't "on".

It sure looks like he sprayed towards the end of that first race lol

That's what I was thinking, I'm just curious because I'm supposed to run the 5.0 this weekend and if he yanked on that cobra like that, it won't be pretty for me.

A buddy of mine has a full boltons/tune 2013 Boss that makes about 460whp and from multiple rolls a boltons/pullied 480whp cobra repeatedly slowly pulled him when they raced a bunch of times awhile back

5.0 had drag bigs n littles... so obviously racekarrr. but ya he def looks like hes spraying at the top

Any major differences between just a regular GT and Boss, motor wise? Besides that intake.

2nd run definitely sprayed him. I have run against numerous bolt on 5.0s including my buddies 14. Always slowly pull them especially on the hit with the eatons instant tq. Weight is similar but with the 5.0s bigs and littles he might have had a weight advantage slightly. Cobra definitely seemed to lose ground each slow shift.

At about 40 seconds, he's slightly ahead and holding, then he just bolted. Then the second race he railed him from the hit, of course he sprayed.

Besides the intake Boss' have slightly more agressive cams, portwork to the heads and 8000rpm redline, my buddy said they are generally about 20-30whp higher than a GT 5.0, his boss bone stock did 411/369

5.br0s are mod hiders and fibbers. The coyote engine attracts them for some unknown reason.

What intake is on the 5.0? Should be a drivers race NA ether way. Nitrous on the second the cobra stood no chance lol
