Default TA vs 335i

Yeah I know this is a puppy kicking but figured i'd share since I use to own one of these cars and very rarely get any action nor do I really look for it. Was out enjoying the festivities of the 4th of July and when coming home around 11pm I have a black newer BMW pull up next to me.

I wait for the light to turn green and as I was making my left turn with him following I opened my cutout. As he tried to fly past me I obliged him and got on it in 2nd gear. I timed it rather well since he got out on me by a fender when I spooled. I ran up to about 90mph and let off. Just a quick little jaunt in 2nd gear and I was instantly about 4 lengths ahead of him. He catches up and gives it a couple honks with a thumbs up. I could see he had a catback on the 335i so I could only assume it was probably setup similar to how mine was which was a 114-115mph trapping car. I gave him the thumbs up as well and we go on our way. I really miss my old 335xi and wish i had a chance to talk to him but he was going on an onramp for the highway.

I closed my cutout and I was on my way. I hit my peak recall and I was pushing 15psi just in that small burst. Love my MT Pro Radials, e85 and this ball bearing turbo.

I love the sound of turbo'd cars spooling up, but I'm sure he knew he was screwed as soon as he heard the cutout open lol.

He probably said 'pffft, LS1 F bodies always acting up'
There's no way he wasn't surprised by the 4+ cars you pulled on em instantly.

Yeah it is. I had an FBO e85 mixed tune setup on my 135i and 335xi. Great fun cars, but yeah they aren't making much more than 500whp with most being between that 400-450whp area

I'd imagine he had an inkling being behind me and seeing the roll bar, radials and cage. Who knows though. He probably just wanted to see me get on it.

If I ran into a car like yours on the streets, I'd instigate just to see it go too. That would be satisfying.
