No offense, but clearly it doesn't take much to best a 5th gen. They are near Honda poopy with all that weight, poor gearing, and feminine power band and such.

More like bronze years. Aside from the LS1 and T56, I was underwhelmed by the 4th gens. LT1 was a turd, the 10 bolt garbage, and the interior quality was terrible.
If I could have the looks of an LT1 4th gen, an 8.8 rear end, provisions for true dual exhaust, LS2, T56, and interior of a GTO, I would be happy.

I have an LT1 in my corvette. It's an unreliable POS. I've always liked the powerband of the LT1 better than the LS1, but I have never owned a motor that had more crap break on it.
