Default Beat a new 5.0 with my bolt on 02 m6

Raced a 2014 or 15 gt 5.0 a couple weeks back from a dig and pulled in front of him by half a car right away and stayed there through half of 4th before I got out of it. Mods are lca w/brackets, sfc, pro 5.0, fipk, pacesetter Lts dumped 18 inches, 285 sumitimo(sp?) Tires.

I feel like my 02 should have gotten beat by that car or is ford still making **** mustang gt's?

Pretty sure the gt needed a driver mod, kid looked to be about 12.

Anyone else run newer 5.0's and have the same results?

Haha couldnt tell if it was a 14 or 15 huh? You sound like a credible witness.

You probably beat the driver. With your mods a stockish 5.0 should be a good race for you

Stock 5.0's are mediocre. They need mods before they run any good.

Sounds about right a good running m6 bolt on fbody shouldn't have any issues with a stock 5.0.

So with a 12 year old Helen Keller driving a stock 5.0, you were only able to just edge it out in your bolt on car?

To me this sounds right. Figure on paper you make about 20 hp less but weigh about 200 lbs less.

Seems plausible if the 5.0 was stock and an auto. My old lid exhaust 2.73 ls went 12.8 at 110 plus in FL heat and in comparison my friends 15 stock auto 5.0 went 12.8 to 12.9 at 108, which is a bone stock auto.

I just can't see a near stock 2.73 A4 EVER approaching a 12. Unless by exhaust you mean full exhaust. But catback, lid, 2.73s and stock stall. I would love to see this.

Really I ran a 13.2 @ 105mph with a 2.1 60ft on the stock 16s with crap kuhmos stock suspension. Car had a slp lid and slp exhaust. Better 60ft I could of got real close.

What you meant to say was you just can't see a 2v in the 12s ever !

Lol. Both are true statements. No stock 2.73 A4 is running a 12, even at the bottom of an arctic ******* mineshaft. Nor is any 2v ever.
