Thanks guys! Yeah all the smack talk they did before made it even sweeter. They were betting I wouldn't show and a few offered to race on bicycles, not motor. Over 600 comments in four threads. Made a vid but turned out to be too long. Here's the car.

Hate to be the guy here, but I don't think you raced that mustang.
Hell, the one in the video definitely didn't look like a 6 second 8th car... The mirror didn't really look white. More silver... and to top it off, the white mustang you pictured doesn't have mirrors at all.

Honestly I don't really know anything about the car but I have asked around and it is a upr sponsored car. I've never ran one that ran that good it def had mods. They are smack talkers that have been bullying the local car meet and everyone was glad I won. I guess he had too much gear idk. We did a 40 roll and he was geared out at the end.

Mine is a na stroker with 3.875" of stroke. It's a 350 bored 30 with a solid roller and dart heads.2.055 1.60 valves. Custom grind 630 232@.050 on a 105 CL. 830 cfm quick fuel. Displaces 396 and turns 8500 Rpm's. Fully Forged crank 6" rods, mahle pistons. I personally built the entire car (incl motor, trans, rear) from the ground up with performance replacement parts that work very well together and the car as a whole just seems to work. Susp, chassis, steering, brake trans and rear are done. Interior as well. Daily drive it.
Rear is moser 30 spl eaton carrier and Richmond 3.42's. Trans is a 350th I built and dual fed clutches and reprogrammed the vb. shifts good. Hughes custom 9" GM 40DD. Brake stall 2400 flash 3600-3800.

Here's the other vid. I know it's agonizing and too long and horribly done but it's worth it at the end. I didn't feel like making another bc I have to do on iPad and iPhone. Easier than writing the whole story. It was just for them since I said nothing before the race only asked a buddy if he knew anybody I could try my new trans on.

Edit. You know I didn't catch that guys. That's true about mirrors. I didn't look at car close they came up to me while I was in my car and I said let's go. I did see the writing on windshield and stickers, it was def white. I guess he could be a poser and has a car that looks like it too, but he does for sure drive that car if he don't own it. Idk but they were pretty butthurt to be just another 5.0 yote.

Cool build but I think they were exaggerating with the pic. I mean from wanting to run a 2V to racing a coyote that traps 117 in the 1/8th?

Either way, it was cool to see an old school sbc pull away!!!

I made some friends with a couple guys there I'm gonna look into it. Looked on dudes fb and he has a bunch of stang pics some with mirrors some without so looks like he may have two. Idk but I raced somebody in a 5.0 and they talked much **** exaggerated or not.

Why would you spin that engine another 2000rpm after it's done making power?

You didn't run the Mustang you pictured. Sounds like you MIGHT have a bottom 11 second ride that traps in the quarter what the Mustang does at half track.

Cool seeing a 2nd gen making kills. But this story isn't believable at the slightest, and neither is a 396 SBC spinning 8500rpm with such a tiny solid roller cam and carb to run anywhere near 6 second 1/8 mile. Squatch and martians are more believable.

8500 rpm with a dart head, a 2.05" intake valve and 232@.050"? You sure the tach is working right? Power has to be falling off pretty hard after 7k on a 23 degree setup like that. And then you pulled a car that traps 117 in the 1/8 th? Going to have to come up with a better fairy tail than this.
