That in car video shows how violent that car is. The way he is thrown around on each shift is crazy.

Holy crap. That is insane to keep accelerating that hard through the 1/2 mile.
Amazing stuff. Hats off to UGR.

I ******* love those cars. Definitely my dream car. That's the same guy that wrecked his GTR at the DSM shootout a couple weeks ago.

They're getting closer and closer to the mile times from 2012 and 2013. They did the standing mile at 251 in 2012 and 263mph in 2013. Now they're doing 234mph in half a mile. I wonder if they'd max out the top speed by the end of the mile?

They really wouldn't run any faster in a standing mile. They're basically just out of gear when they cross the half mile mark.
So if they changed the gearing for standing mile, the acceleration wouldn't be as great, and they'd end up about the same, or worse by the mile marker.

Also yes, same guy who crashed his GTR a few weeks ago.
Same guy who put his GTR in the dirt in April at AA8.

For some reason I dont care. Id rather see the stories of guys with small budgets doing it big with less. Don't get me wrong, the car is engineering art.

I got more enjoyment watching Corey's 5.0 bang gears than watching a Tony Kanaan look alike doing this while driving.

Skip to 45 seconds into the video.

Oh, and good kill!!

None of this makes any sense lol

You know UR has been 250.1 in a full mile at the Texas Mile right?

Its way more Aero then gearing at the mile. The drag is exponentially greater as you go faster.

Yes, because I'm sure the rest of us can recover 1,500rwhp cars going ridiculous speeds with our hands tied behind our backs. Anyone would struggle to recover.

1000% agreed. Money can do anything. That's why the LS trailer park platform is topps in my book. This car is amazing but in all actuality, the Camaro that set the 244mph standing mile record would probably meet or beat this 1/2 mile run with different gearing. All of it gives me a stiffy though . Absolutely beautiful car.

Let me get this straight: you're going to agree with his statement about money, then bring up a car that was built by LMR with money and talk about how a car that trapped almost 20mph slower than the UGR cars from two years ago will somehow beat the half mile runs? Lol.

The LMR car actually went well over 260 in the mile with plenty left according to them. The tire blow out left it so that we will never know how fast it could've been.
