C6 Z06 vs Cobra
Went down to run my buddy in his HCI z06 last night. We've been wanting to get the cars together for a while but our schedules combined with how far we are away from each other has prevented it til now.
Z06 mods:
H/C (don't know the specs), Fast 102 & TB, full exhaust, ET Street R's and skinnies.
Cobra:
Kenne Bell 2.8, BAP, Magnaflow catted x-pipe & cat-back, street tires. Put down 526hp/438tq @ 16° timing. Tuner says my stock fuel pump is maxed. I have to have a few words with him again. The damn car was nose diving at random times. Afr all over the place. It is a brand new dyno tune and last night was the first hard driving I've done since it left the tuner. I'm pretty pissed to say the least.
Anyway, to the video. This was pretty much the only clean run we got. Every other time my afr would spike lean or rich and the run would be done. Z06 did the honking.
My car is now stuck in 4th gear. It won't come out regardless of how much force I put on the shifter so now I have to figure that out too. That was not a fun drive back home.

It's a fast car for sure. Depending on what my trans looks like, I want to get my tune sorted and meet him again with both of us on our drag packs. Would be a really good run imo.

Wow man you're such a troll coming up in here and posting something that has a car that isn't a Chevy in it and it's actually competing well. Gtfo of here with that man we don't need any of your immature trolling on this board this is for Chevy guys with big dicks only.

Nice run, and nice car. I hope you get your car sorted out quick. Nothing more frustrating than having lots of money tied up in a car and not having it perform well or even drive at all. Once you it gets done im sure it goes good.
also what year z was that?

2006 z06.
I just need my tune lined out and be on equal tires and it would be a good run. I'm not going to change pulleys on this set up. I'll get the trans figured out and my tuner is already aware of the nose diving and afr issues. He wants to get it back to figure out what's going on there.
It's really close to the cut off for decent weather in my area so the car will probably get retired for the winter. Can't justify throwing much more money at it just so it can sit anyway during the winter.

Buddy of mine had an 03' back in the day that got to doing the same ****. Loosing fuel pressure and nose diving. I want to say it was something in the stock fuel t that tied the pumps together inside the tank. He bought a metal one from some ford website. Never got around to dropping the tank tho lol. But he was pretty confident that was his problem.

It would be interesting if there was a mechanical failure that is causing it. It's just too much of a coincidence that it starts happening right after the new tune.
Thanks for the tip though. If it turns out to not be something in the tune I'll definitely look into that.
