Default Boss 302 vs L99 Camaro

Boss has, intake, cat deletes, axle back, and tune.

L99 have header back exhaust

40 and 50 rolls

Dont know what phone the passenger was using. They had a go pro but it was pointed in the wrong direction ; p

To be fair, they slapped headers and straight pipe on with no tune.

I am in the dfw area. Getting ready to throw a better clutch and lightweight flywheel. Tired of not being able to shift into 5th at wot.

Also going e85.

^if you want a longer race.... change to 3.31s. A clutch wont fix the 5th synchro issue.

Multiple people have said otherwise.

You couldn't shift to 5th with your rst clutch?

Wow.....closer than i thought especially on the 2nd run where you didn't jump. A tune on that l99 may be door to door with ya.

I dont doubt it. I also didnt jump. I could barely hear the honks each time. I waited for him to hit it. The one where i left immediately was the 40 roll. The 2nd is a 50 where im out of my power band. Gotta hit in 3rd at 4k rpm. No power at 4k

P.S. feminine powerband, remember?

Its an over drive style synchro. Single ring. Not meant for taking a beating. Which is the reason why its always the first one to go when racing. The clutch will help everything move along better.... but eventually... it will let go and start grinding again. In my buddies case.... new transmission with an RST took 5 WOT shifts to fifth before the synchro was tired and started grinding.
