Met up with a buddy, went to a car meet... Was able to get a couple of runs with 2 different 5.0s.

First runs were with the 15 auto 5.0, from what I understand the car had: LTs, mid pipe, axle back, cai, tune. We did a 25 and a 50 roll...

Second set of runs was vs the 14 auto 5.0, from what I understand he had: x-pipe, muffler delete, cai, tune. We did 2 60 rolls...

My car is a 14 camaro SS 1LE with: LTs, ported tb, cai, tune.

Seems like modded 15' 5.0 are stronger than 14'. Great races!! 15' 5.0 jumped on the 1st race, obviously.

Those autos are doing the work! I second that you were losing some time between the shifts (compared to auto of course).

More proof that 5th gens are equal to 5.bro's, even while being 200-300 lbs heavier. 5.0 can't compete with the LS3's powerband. Good runs.

Nice vid. That 1LE is holding up really well for the weight. Heaven forbid a 3/4 cam or a nice set of camel hump heads get put on.

I think the runs went ok, I think I drive decent but its hard to out shift an auto car. I think I can do a little better against the 15 GT, will have to try to get another run in next time.

Great seeing ya bud. To get some of these guys to see a better prospective, we need to do our runs. Stick vs stick with almost comparable mods.

The 5.0 runs pretty good when it's opened up. Full intake/exhaust/tune. That 14 needs some LTs.
