Default LS3 Swapped GTO vs. C6 GrandSport

My friend came in from out of town and he wanted to see how his LS3 swapped GTO would stack up against my GS.

We took a trip to Mexico to take in the sights, have some tacos, and see where things stood.

Filmed with a potato, in Mexico, from a 55 roll:

His Goat normally runs a small shot, but he says he was not spraying on this run. We're going to rerun with the shot so there can be no excuses.

Nice run!

By small shot, I hope he means a 75-100 shot?

No..125 or so. Like I said a baby shot. I ran a 200 shot on my last Vette. I think he'd pull even on that shot..if that.

He'll need it lol. I thought he was gonna say a 50 shot, because he may as well save your gas.

That was seriously some of the slowest shifts I've ever heard. Give your friend some lessons on driving instead lol

exactly what I was thinking so I compared some of my videos I took in my sons M6 GTO to this vid: my 2-3 shift was a fraction of his, and even my 4-5 shift took less then half as long as his. And my sons transmission is in dire need of synchros and on a stock shifter!

Well that'll do it lol. I have a friend with a 04 GTO, he swears by the B&M short shifter for that car. I've driven it and it's precise as hell

Yeah that's what I've heard. At first I didn't like that shifter so much but it's not too bad with the shift **** he has. MGW is great, I've used a few of those... They're better than the B&M for sure, I think he got that one because it was cheap. Still way more precise than the stock shifter.
