I don't consider rockers or springs bolt ons for anybody. And redbird, you never answered DD's question and now I'm curious... What did your car do at the track? I'm planning an LS3 swap as well but with a th400

Rockers are not a bolt on and a faceplated Trans does nothing for performance, just ask hio.

Good bunch of runs! I could see the bolt-on LS1 running ahead of the 5.0 but I was kind of surprised with the GT500. I would have thought that the torque/hp of the GT500 would of pulled the LS1 pretty good but then again, the gearing in the LS1 was probably enough to keep it in the game at the lower speeds.
Personally, I am a firm believer in gearing for torque manipulation

Full bolt on? off road y , throttle body, intake manifold and gears... He has pretty much everything I don't and I have more bolt ons.

Nope, not a bolt on for any car.
That poll was up for ~3 hours before racejeep deleted it due to butthurt...

LS1tech fast list does not allow rockers/springs for bolt ons.

Agreed.

Redbird doesn't race, but somehow his old car gets brought up as a proper LS3 swapped 4rf gen car.

Agreed and GT500 needs driver mod.

You forgot LT headers, plus there are varying degrees of intake, the FAST being the big daddy. So yeah, those are the greatest hits of the bolt ons, sure there are others, but they barely add power and cost too much to be considered the norm.

That attitude certainly explains the "bolt on" numbers that your car puts down. Where does it end? Heads, Cam, turbo, supercharger, nitrous, etc. They all just bolt on.

The common definition of bolt on's is something that doesn't actually open up the engine. Headers, Intakes, gears, pullies, water pump.
