Default The little ls1 that could

The little ole' ls1 has gotten its workout in the past couple weeks. My car is just an 04 a4 ls1 gto with tune/ nitto drag radials. All races were at the drag strip.

Race 1: 3v mustang gt - cams, bolt ons, 4.10's street tires. I ran 13.5 to his 14.2. He has since switched to drag radials and ran 13.7 and wants a rematch. Soon to come.

Race 2: buddies 08 challenger srt 8- cai, catback, poly suspension mounts, street tires. Track was a little wet due to a slight mist. I ended up spinning through first and got traction in second, he just tried to roll off the line and bogged it. He went 13.7 to my 13.6. We both made a few more passes later that day after the mist had stopped. He ended up running a best of 13.55 with a 2.2 60 foot. I went a best of 13.3 with a better than his, but still crappy 1.97 60.

Race 3: another buddies 02 trans am - baby cam, cai, headers, 2.73 gears (original owner ordered it that way). His car has posted up better times than mine in previous past runs, but we always just talk **** back and forth for fun anyway. Well we were both at the track the other night and decided to finally line them up. He had just made a pass so his car was good and warm, so i told him to pop the hood and let it cool for a minute before we did. He declined, so we headed up. I put my gopro camera on facing forward figuring he would be ahead of me. (Video to come in a few). We take off and i immediately pull away from him. Im expecting him to come around me at any time, and while he did start pulling back up on me, he never made it back around lol. Needless to say i rubbed it in that he got beat by a stock ls1
