It takes intake exhaust turbo upgrade to trap 111?

Indeed. My SRT4 when it was stock motor and turbo ran a 12.89 with a 2.0 sixty @113 with a ported intake manifold, throttle body, drop in air filter, open stock gutted downpipe, intercooler and a wastegate bleed making the car run 6 more psi than stock.

Oh well, still killed the SRT in a pretty commonplace type of encounter of rolling up on highway, so...cheers.
Guess they should've stopped in the road for a real race.

To my understanding, I think the Focus has trapped 114 before. He moved out good but its what I'd expect from a car that runs between 111-114 against a car that probably traps like 109?

@200hpltr - focus owners car is easily low 13s consistently. Enough to still be an issue from a dig against a very light bolt on SRT8 imo on the street.

2.2 60 i think. he's going bias ply and a new clutch so he's aiming for low 12s. I think car capable of mid 12s.

Friend of mine - and long time head of the pacific northwest ford racing club - has tried to get his Focus ST into the 13's for a year now. Said hes done every 'bolton' mod except replacing the crappy, tiny stock turbo or running meth or race gas and still is stuck at 14.0 as his best time and blames his average 2.2 60' times. He's upgraded the clutch, has very sticky extreme performance summer only's on it, and played with ride height but just cannot do better the his best of 2.1 second 60' times.

Guess crappy launch times is just built into those Focus ST's. Sure are good around corners though.

DA is couple hundred feet, Focus is 2013 or so. Tracks he has ran it at are Pacific Raceways and Bremerton Raceways. Both are tracks were 2010-2015 Camaro SS's stock run 13.0-13.3 with good drivers, 5.0's stock run 12.8-13.0, C6 Z06's stock have never broken into the 11's (rumor is one did on a drag radial only) and 392 SRT8's run mid 12's stock: he also said (I never saw one run yet) that stock hellcats are 11.7's. Those are times done by very good drivers, discounting the tons of crappy drivers or runs that always happen at random track days.

Slow tracks in other words compared to some of the miracle tracks some guys on here run at apparently, so no doubt that Focus would easily break 13's somewhere else.

Hey someone from the north west! Yeah I'm going to bremerton tomorrow their track prep is always pretty darn shitty from what I've seen. I have friends who have an easier time launching on an unprepped street than on some of their test n tune days...

That's not my experience at all, though it is a golden rule that everyone who doesn't run a 60' time that they like will immediately blame the track prep. Now that being said, it is true that some worn out suspensions or very bad suspension setup'd cars will launch as bad as they do on the street. Blame that on the owner, every time, 100% of the time.

A street car that hooks good on the street will always hook very well at the track - if it doesn't you will find that competent drivers will readily admit to it being there fault, not the cars.

Cole Curtis: My brother is a 3rd gen guru when it comes to mods. you need any help getting your LS power to hook up then just shoot me a PM and I'll put you in touch with him. Got any pics of that lsx powered mullet mobile? Here's my bro's IROC (before current heads/cam/polished ZR1 rim upgrades)
