The 6th gen SS lt1 is the only motor that does not use afm style lifters.
Not sure why...but this has been confirmed a few times now. Lots of happy folks in the manual camp gonna save some time and money doing a cam swap compared to others.
I guess the m7 vette has afm and uses it.

To my knowledge I believe they all have it. Mine is brand new 17 manual.and has it. The cam kit costs 1350 for everything and half of that is to swap lifters etc for the dod/afm delete.

How much more fuel does the cam provide? I remember seeing info on one that provided a 34% bump?

No just the manual
Are you sure? I know for a fact that the 16 manuals do not. A thread on camaro6 about it. Shops that have opened them up confirm. No afm style lifters. It was initially thought it would have the hardware but not be activated.

livernois as well as other shops found no afm lifters in 16 manual lt1 cars. That kit may not be correct/was developed before this was widely known.

As far as Challengers go the lifters are different between manuals and automatics because of their fuel management "MDS". The A8's are more expensive to do a cam swap because they have different lifters as well. Manual Challengers don't have MDS. Not sure why GM would still use the same lifters in any manual if the car doesn't have AFM. Probably to cut costs. Maybe a different design?
~On another note, everytime I see a 6th gen digital speedo read out it makes me think of the Grand Prix GTP and Bonneville SSEI heads up display on how it would skip over multiple MPH when displaying speed. Come on GM for Christ sake. 35-45k car. I bet with a tuner you can go in and change the refresh rate of that data input. Maybe I need to get a job in quality control or something revolving around fit and finish of product. It would make the driver/passenger feel like they are going faster seeing the MPH read out rack up like a slot machine.

The stock modded br0 did pretty good with it's feminine power band and bama toon.
Good find OP!

Not bad for the Stang. I thought it would was going to be worse. A few tweak on the next revision of the motor should get things closer.
Still, Ford may keep the GT "close" to the Camaro though but then let their specialty cars such as GT350 or possible MACH 1 as their faster car. With the variety of aftermarket mods offered today, either car can be easily made faster than the other. Besides, who keeps these cars stock today?
