Troof. Not that hard to beat them judging by the times I saw this year from local track.

They definitely have a nice advantage over the s550 though

What do you consider a slaying? Majority of M6 drivers will botch the launch. Let's say they launch correctly, just one early shift or miss shift and you are set back .1 et and loss of 1-2mph. Losing a race by 1-2 cars might be considered a slaying.

Marc, sit down. You might learn something.

It's no contest from a dig. From a low roll I'd still give the edge to the a8. At higher speeds I think the m6 might start to pull but you better hit every gear perfect and not be too far behind in the first place to catch back up.
Exactly.

Also, I can see a "3 mod" 6g going 10's

Just follow in the fott steps of the C7.

12.50 vs 12.30 a8 being obviously faster (from a dig). To me that does not equate 1-2 cars.

Obviously an auto is going to have the huge advantage from a dig. Please find me an equally modded 6g a8 and let us do 2 dig runs and 2 rolls and let me prove my point. I'm not bragging but I have one Hell of a drivers mod which is another reason I prefer manuals.

I'm guessing you've never been to the track or know what you are talking about? .2 secs at 1/8 speed(92-96 trap) is at least 2-3 cars.

Fyi, every .1 in the quarter equals 1 car lenght.

Good race regardless.
My buddy just bought a 6gen A8... I'll test your theory for you with less mods than OP

not a track regular but have tracked my 5g 3x before. I always stated I don't do digs and highly prefer rolls of any speeds. This is why I got a M6. Maybe you are correct that 12.50 vs 12.30 is 2-3 cars I honestly don't know but it doesn't seem to be all that big of a gap (not being sarcastic) so perhaps I am wrong. I just very rarely do digs

it was a disaster Hio truth be told. Keep in mind I was bone stock 100% (before any mods). The very first time I literally dumped the clutch coming out the hole, got locked out of 3rd gear lol and just sucked ***. THIS WAS NOT THE CAR IT WAS ALL DRIVER! I think I managed a 16.xxx. The Pontiac solstice next to me (6 cyl) just obliverated me. Now keep in mind this was my 1st time ever to a track in my life (2014 and I was 24 lol).

2nd run same night was a bit better but still embarrassing. I managed a 14.8xx went back to the man camp with bruised pride (this was in upper Sandusky Ohio) where myself and another Tx coworker were stationed for 8 months. In fact the owner of our company has a Zr1 and stsV modded and laughed his *** off when my co worker sent him the vid (I had no clue he was filming me). It's all good bc I got a good laugh as well.

3rd time out was actually a charm and I might have gotten lucky. I managed a 13.5xx and that was a perfect launch no mishaps etc. Haven't been back ever since. I'll post a clip of my 5g in a second but yeah those were my track exp's (not my cup of tea) but I don't hate on it.

Looks like you got him on the first one pretty good (with the sketchy 3 count)but I'd call a draw on the second one. Granted you had a passenger and he didn't so...there is another length to your advantage both ways. You car definitely runs good.

I agree on the comments about the A8 on the slower rolls would have given you fits.
