LOL he is stupid. You do not put an x pipe on a ls motor. It comes with a great H pipe set up which makes more power over any other set up. X pipe just creates chaos down low which can make for the feeling of more torque, but H pipe is more efficient. He essentially slowed his car down.

X pipe only makes more power when one side needs to push over to the other because it needs to even out the flow. When the pipes are equal the H pipe allows the distribution to flow both exactly the same but with some pressure to move if necessary, which is minimal if equal length.
H is always better for a stock motor cam with equal length pipes. One could say the X is better with a larger cam.

A hybrid X does in fact lose power over all other set ups
It is very unlikely he gained anything from an X on this 6th gen. Most likely just changed the power band. Added some to point B and took some from A or whatever

I guess we won't know for sure. LT1 is different animal than LS. Lost a good 30lbs by deleting resonator I would assume. Wish we could have wound the races out further, but we were coming back up on the group too fast. And when the state trooper flew by all of us with lights blazing, I got off the next exit and headed home. Got spooked. Was supposed to run some other cars too.
