Wrong cam if you are only going to spin it to 6500rpm. That cam needs gears and 7k rpm. You can watch it fall off on the shifts.

Get a McLeod RST if you don't wanna spend more than $1k. I know hammer really liked his spec mini twin, and from everything I read quarter master makes amazing stuff. It's just very pricey.
Also look into a fidanza flywheel

As stated, you need to rev that **** out. Has your car been dynoed? You want to shift about 300-400 rpm past peak power. MS3 probably hasn't even peaked yet at 6500. And what intake do you have?

Not sure you could launch the RST on slicks?

I put 20k miles on a Spec3+ with hard launches 5-6k clutch dumps (dozens of times). Monster 3 as well but I've only had it for 1-2k miles. Not bad for the money.

They get better and pricier after that.

No hasn't been dynoed to my knowledge. I still have the LS6 intake on it. I wanna shift it at 6800. But my brains keeps seeing the redline and makes me shift

Im still on garbage *** KDW street tires. That's why I don't do digs. Looking at MTs in a 305 or the R888s. Haven't decided yet. But definitely going with a 305 and get away from these 295s

305 too heavy. Get a NT05r in 285 you'll dead hook if you heat them up well.
R888's are trash for drag racing. They hook like they're made of used condoms

At first it was between the NT01r and NT05r. Thought the 05s were made for road course racing? Or is the the other way around

Yeah just Googled it myself lol. How many miles are "expected" out of them? It'll only be a weekend/cruise car. And won't be driven in the rain either. Probably won't see much track time. Being as I'm always ******* working when it's open. Just like this weekend...

Dude, if you are not willing to rev it out, put a truck manifold on it and shift it at 5500 then. You are not going to blow it up shifting it 500rpms past redline.

Get rid of that clutch. You have a newer LS. With the right springs, pushrods and titanium retainers 7200 is no problem. Wish I could spin that high.
