it had just a filter and off rd x pipe. the race was up to about 130mph from a low mph roll

I am hearing these 04 Z06's trap like 115-118 bone stock. I think GM high tech magazine got a stock 04 Z06 to trap 119 actually. Anyhow, its very surprising that you might have pulled one on the highway. Are you sure it was an 04 and are you sure it was a real Z06? (I've seen C5's with the black side scoop to make them look like Z06's).

question you have a 408 stroker motor with a 100 shot and could not take a zo6 should not matter 04 or not with that motor and just an x-pipe on the zo6 you should have made him your B****

with 454rwhp/460rwtq I'd say it's a pretty safe bet he would own the Z06 without having to use the juice.

I would beg to differ. His trap speeds are pretty consistent with a stock Z-06 w/ someone other than Barney Phife behind the wheel and from a roll the Z would most likely walk him!

Ok Z06s dont normally trap 118 mph stock. They usually are around 114-115. Believe me when I telly ou my car would have no problems walking a Z06.

Plus I have a friend with a Z06 with exhaust and some kind of intake and his best run his a 12.4 @ 114 mph.

You are right that 04 Z06's have seen 118mph traps, but thats not the norm, thats the highest, so if it were a 1/4 mile race it COULD be a dead heat, if he was racing one of the fastest with the best driver. However, from a roll, the Z06 would NOT walk him, it would be the opposite.

You do realize he has almost 100rwhp/100rwtq more than most Z06's, and he would walk the Z06 from a roll. The Z's weight and aero advantage won't make up for 100 ponies, not by a long shot. And from a roll weight becomes less of a factor.

Well I keep forgetting to weigh the damn thing when I go to the track. Every single time I go I remember to weigh it on the highway on the way home. I will say that my clutch slipped on the run before the 11.6 run. It was a Stage 5 and I tried spraying it out of the hole and the rpms just shot straight up. The 11.6 run I sprayed it from second on. I think my clutch was acting up on every run. I just put a new Stage 4 and Flywheel in it and when I got it back it feels faster than it did, alot faster!! So I think my clutch as screwed up on all of the runs.
