My bud w/ an 02 stang GT called me today and told me that a 95 civic hatch wanted to race me this friday night...told me that he has a boosted b16 w/ (dunno how big of a shot) nitrous...hopefully someone can take a footage and Ill try posting it...if not Ill let yall know what happens....dont really know much about this boosted hatches or what they can do, I guess Ill find out this friday...

Yup, you are right. B16 = Civ SI motor. And the B18 series all came in Integra's.

Normally they turbo Integra LS motors b/c of the lower compression and they come w/ the most torque from the factory.


Back on topic, I think the Civic will go down in defeat easily.

Careful now.. a b16 with f/i in a lightweight Civic Hatchback can do some damage. I have a friend with a 96 Civic hatchback with a Turbo'd b18 and he dyno'd 378 hp and ran a low 11 second at the drag strip. it's all gonna depend on what else hes got done to that motor. I have faith in u ... but it's gonna be a DAMN close race!! Defintely get some video footage of this one

Just found out some new info on the civic, his also running a 100 shot of nitrous and c16 race gas w/ bfg drag radials....I guess Ill be putting my e/t streets on just for insurance haha....thanks for the replies boys...

More like track slicks. I say full bolt-ons and a 150 shot for Insurance... Still close but launch right and it's yours...

Good luck man, should be a good race. The thing with thoses civics is that they are so damn light, it doesn't take as much HP to make em real fast, in the end it is still a civic and it still looks like **** no matter how fast it is. my .02

No I wont be using nitrous nor put any $$ down but alota guys are side betting...Ill just race as is...all in all its for fun...told him Ill race him best outah 3 so there are no excuses... I have another friend w/ a similar car boosted built b16 w/ slicks c16 race gas and open headers running 12.7's but this guy Im racing has the nitrous....so I guess itll be a close one...
