L98 or LS1 i was hanging with my friend yestarday who has a 91 z28 and i heard him rev it up and it seemed to go pretty quick to redline. then i reved my up and it deosnt seem to rev up nearly as fast? is it just me or do the l98 rev up like twice as fast as the ls1 ?

Ive driven a lot LS1 f-bods and vettes, as well as a friends 88 vette, which has the exact same engine (unless theres some difference i dont know about), and i gotta say that the ls1 revs a lot quicker. Remember though, the ls1 does redline higher than the l98. I think its all in your head though.

Agreed. If it's reving that much faster maybe he had a aluminum flywheel? Some other aftermarket parts? And reving quicker... My SS gets to that redline ALOT faster than my other cars. When I first got it and ran it I was ALWAYS hitting the limiter because the dam RPM's shot like a mother.... 
That 91 Z is rated at 345ftlbs and 245hp. It's a reletively quick car light to light, but with the intake design, it doesn't like to rev high.
