raced one from a roll, where the bmw is prolly at it's best, and creamed it... all my car had at the time was a lid, catback and free mods.

Do it and find out. No one is going to badmouth you for losing to a car with 4 more cylinders

edit: Unless you started with 4

Based on this :

it should not be a problam.
But as I read it you have an A4 the bimmer has a manual tranny, so you should race him from a dig. The bimmer is heavy...so it's gonna be like a murder. Anyways invest a 100$ for a lid just to make it sure.

that car is sooooo sweet. i looked them up when i when i was buying my SS and they were still about 35k, even though the last year was '97. put the rich boy in his place though.

850's are sweet, but slow, big power, but not that fast. You'll toast him, I would confidently race him.

The 850 will put up a good roll race against an LT1, but a dig or roll against an LS1 will not be a win for this car. They're powerful, but not as quick as they should be. I still find them to be the sexiest BMW's ever though.
