2005 Mustang GT vs 1998 Camaro SS This took place on Super Bowl Sunday...
I was heading out to my aunt/uncle's place to watch the game with the family, when a black 2005 Mustang GT pulls up next to me on the freeway..
My SS is red, and I had the T-Tops down, just cruising.. (to be honest, I thought it was a BMW when it was coming up...?!?!)
newho, so these two black guys with their heads just above the window pace me for @ a minute or so... when the passenger yells, "U wanna run em?"
I shrugged and smiled... a nice little Sunday race sounded good to me..
The passenger yells, "On the count of three!.... ONE.... TWO..."
I dropped it into 3rd (6 speed) @ 60 or so...
"THREE"...
Now, I have to be honest with you, I let him go for a second or two before I hit it, just so I could enjoy the fly-by...
so he pulls @ 1-2 car lengths (and what kills me is that the guy in the passenger seat starts jumping for joy in his seat with his arms raised like they just killed me?) LMFAO...
...Then I floor it, the torque lifts the front end suspension a lil, and I reeled him in quick passing him @ 90 or so.. and I stayed on it until about 120 just so he knew he wasnt going to pull me back in..
I dropped it into nuetral and pumped the brakes slightly to let him catch up..
the guys' both yelled, "MAN YUR S*** IS QUICK MANG!!"
I nodded, grinned and gave them a thumbs up.. and quickly got over as my exit was approaching...

and I had JUST INSTALLED MY NEW SLP PULLEY THAT MORNING!! (which made a difference noticeably)
I also have stock cats, with a stock muffler.. (I know I know, I am getting a cutout and FLP cats soon..!)
all in all.. good race, nice guys.. good times...

Well done.
I like to let the other car get the jump just to make sure the race is a "go".
With my 4000 rpm stall ALOT of people think i am racing them ,just pacing with traffic,LOL.
And if the other car is a possible threat,i open the bottle with the NX opener and put my finger on the button.
