Default Acura NSX

I was on my home tonight and saw an Acura NSX waiting pull onto the highway. He was way behind me at first, then he proceeded to weave through traffic until he was behind me. There was a red light coming up and he got next to me. I wasn't sure that he wanted to race because he didn't rev or anything but when the light turned green he tore off. I thought for sure he would smoke me, but I figured what the hell and I tore off after him. I spun for a few seconds then passed him pretty easily and continued to pull away from him until we hit traffic.
Was that a fluke or are those NSX's just not very fast cars?
I drive a pretty much stock 2001 T/A M6.

early 90s ones are kinda quick but no match for a ls1, now the late 90s ones r allot faster i believe.

there not that fast at all the only make like 270fwhp from to 290 fwhp for the new ones yet they are a little litter but its a six and dosent compare to the ls1

other felling in the world than blowin the doors off of a 60,000 rice patty.

If it was a '91-'95 NSX 5-speed, it had 270 fwhp, and if it was an automatic, it had 252 fwhp, and came with a 3.0L V6. The 5-speeds ran the 1/4 in the mid-14's and did 0-60 in about 5.8. They're more of a challenge for a stock LT1. The LT1 would outdrag it, but on the highway the NSX would easily pull.

If it was a '96+ 6-speed, it had 290 fwhp, and an automatic had 252 fwhp, and came with a 3.2L V6. They 6-speeds'll do the 1/4 in anywhere from low-upper 13's, and hit 60 in the upper 4's. They're a pretty even race for a stock LS1. An auto LS1 would outdrag one, but would get pulled on the highway. A manual LS1 might be able to outdrag one, and could easily hang with one on the highway (now this is assuming the NSX driver is as good a driver as the LS1).

The automatic NSX's are just a joke IMO. And whether manual or auto, you're paying WAY too much for what the NSX is, especially if you buy one brand new ($80-$90K). Those cars are the biggest ripoff on the market. Bring the price down to Corvette level and it'd make more sense for what you get.

They're tight in the twisties though. I drove my friends NSX and was able to POWER thru the apex of some tight turns.

But I'm always in the mood for fried rice

"Tool" ?? 305 threw out the bait ... and you bit. Hilarious! Caught two rustangs on one hook.

After making a few Open Track events, I was very disappointed with the NSX. And I used to be a vtec fan.

You're kidding, right? I mean I caught the jester faces an all, but it wouldn't suprise me that top gear would say/stage something like that. They HATED the C6 in their test of it. They couldn't say anything legitimatly bad about the 400hp. They couldn't say anything legitimatly bad about the handling. So they focused on the fact that it uses leaf springs instead of coilovers (so what? They do their job admirably, don't they?) and that the interior wasn't up to spec with 50k luxury cars... well HELLO, IT'S A SPORTS CAR, the money went into performance not poshness. Oh, and the guy complained that the suspension was a bit stiff going over bumps and such.... um yeah, ok, but you thought that the Noble M-12 was god's own chariot.

I guess it best sums up their retarded opinions that they were amazed that it "Was almost as fast as the evo!" around the road course.

I know there is a video of it posted somewhere in the forums, anybody got the link?

Rustangs? LOL....I can only laugh at the fact that people are so damn blind that only what they drive is great! All hail the mighty LS1.....

BTW....look at what I drive man......obviously I can see beyond the big, bad brand name.

I'm feelin' ya on that one. I'm a GM/FBody guy for life... but I honestly really do like Mustangs. I don't care if it's a stock '91 5.0, '95 5.0, '99 GT, or '03 Mach 1 or Cobra, I really like the Stangs. If there weren't FBodies, I'd have a horse in my stable.

True that. My last car was a 94 GT. If I was in the market for a new car, I'd be looking at the 05 GTO, the 05 GT, the evo, and even the infinity g35x (awd would be nice here on the east coast during the winter). Maybe even the new charger or if I found a bucket of money the CTS-V. Although I'd probably end up with the GTO... Ls2... mmm...

Oh and of course I'm drooling over the 06 z06. Who isn't?

Somehow, yes, they took a new NSX and outdragged a C6. They had 4 cars and, in order, TVR 350 Tamora, NSX, C6, 911 (at least the vette beat the 911). I really think someone needed some driving lessons though, it looked like a terrible launch.
