Bunch of runs...
Last week I got a couple of mods for my Mazda 3 (see sig) and wanted to run a friend of mine at work with a Vibe GT (1.8L 180hp M6) who I played with a few times at low speed when stock but never a real run. His brother who works with us (2002 Grand Am GT) wanted in on the race as well (I enjoy and encourage 3-car races). So we line 'em up 2 at a time at 50mph and decide to go 'till 110.
1st race: Me vs. Grand Am - started even, he pulled his *** to my front bumper by 75, but once the A4 shifted out of 2nd, I began to pull and at 110, the opposite, my *** at his nose.
2nd race: Me vs. Vibe - he slowly pulled away from me the whole time, he got 2 cars on me by 110.
3rd race: Grand am vs. Vibe - even at first until about 75, then the vibe pulled hard, they Grand Am admitted to loosing to his brother by at least 3 cars. I backed off at 90 when I thought I saw a cop on the side of the road so I did not withness the whole run.
While talking about the runs at work, this other ******* I work with butts into the convo and starts talking ****.
**Shittalker has a WRX STi bone stock.
He is laughing at us for racing our cars which he thinks should not be racing in the first place. This gets me . Why can't a couple of guys have a good time running what they got in a friendly, honest race? Street racing or track racing for that matter is not only reserved for fast cars. I told him this in a more animated way and he proceeds to talk more **** about my camaro and how he will stomp on it from any roll speed. He is even willing to put money on it. I want to run him when the weather is warmer. What do you think? I know STi's are quick from a dig, but will I get him from a roll? This assclown needs to be taught a lesson.

I just raced an STI a few weeks ago. To be fair, he did have a passenger, but my system makes up for half of that disadvantage. went from a 20 roll, he instantly put 3 car lengths on me as i fought for traction till third gear. Once it caught I past him around 90 at a good 20-25 MPH faster than him. put 3 to 4 cars on to 110. Would have been pure annhialation if I had something better than winter tires on.
Im not all that far from stock. I dont think youll have any problems as long as you get traction and shift well.

Good runs man! You should have no problem getting the STI as long as he doesn't mod up before you actually race. From a roll you have him no problem. From a dig, if he knows what he's doing it might be close.

UPDATE:
This morning the asswipe and his buddies ambush me on the way to my desk with a proposal. $100 from a dig and get this...he says he will start in 2nd!
I told him that under those circumstances he would surely lose since he will bog the engine. He says there will be no bogging or turbo lag because he will launch at 6000 rpm. Let me get this straight...he thinks that he can safely do an all wheel drive clutch drop from 6000rpm in 2nd gear... (transmission)
So...I agreed
It seems that I keep running into ignorant fools... (see my other thread: "some ricers never learn")

You'll beat him. This guy doesn't really know his car well. You can't clutch drop those cars at 6G's, 1st or 2nd. Either he'll ruin the tranny from droping from 2nd, or (and this happened from first gear to my buddy) snap one of his drive axels. This guy is a tard and deserves beat down, just be ready for "Ricer" excuses. Not saying an STi is rice though.

Please let us know what happen. I would love to be at the dealer when he have his car towed there for repairs. I would love to see the dumb *** look on his face when they tell him to get lost or pull out the check book.
