Finally got to run an 03 + Cobra!!!

Finally got to run an 03 + Cobra!!! Was on 95 south lastnight when this mustang went flying buy. I was like sweet it's race time. He beared off onto 322 east going over Commodore Barry bridge. We slowed down chatted and wanted to run. Awesome. First run I miss third 
. he knew it and slowed down. Second run hit all the gears, he pulled half a car at the punch from about a 40 roll. I pulled up even by end of second, by end of third had put 2-3 on him, by the end of 4th I had a strong 5 cars on him 
. 4th in my car is good for about 120. Ran two more times each time missing 3rd and 4th . Reason I am missing gears is because synchros are shot in 2nd, 3rd, and 4th gears. Being rebuilt in next few weeks. Anyway on the one clean run I beat him and was super happy as these are awesome cars to measure your performance by. It took everything to get this car into gear. Said he had exhaust, thats it. All in all very happy with results

I ran it on race fuel, I rolled off the line one time just to see what trap would be without launching, I trapped between 110-111. From a dig on pump it should be good for 12.2-12.4 @ about 114-115 range. Gauging this on a few other cars with exact same mods. Also driving is a big part to these cars, believe me I drive the hell out of it, ask my synchro's lol. No power shifting just crappy synchro's. Cams help big time. I will tell you this, it is very important to pick and chose your parts wisely as the wrong combo can actually sap power from your car.

Yeah, Evo really wakes up with the right mods. Don't get me wrong I am no delusional I properly set up Cobra with exhaust, filter, xpipe and pulley would kill me from a roll as would most bolton/cammed Ls1's, although that might be a bit closer.

I like them roller skates myself. You oughta Dyno that thing with the race gas in it to see what it's putting down for the 11.8 run. It'd be nice to have a baseline to go from. Nice kill BTW.

It is great at that speed but I will tell you with the mods I have it pulls hard through all gears, Even hitting 5th @ 80 is very quick, through 4th it pulls very well.

Sig's easier to read and yes I said Roller Skate! I'm old school and we use to call all of the imports roller skates back then. Hell, I probably have kids older than you. No put down intended with either remark BTW.
