Racing a gears/lid/exhaust Camaro Thursday... Wonder how I will do? I'm in a stock '04 C5 (came with Corsa cat-back, and i took off intake cover). He hasa 99 Camaro with 4.10's, lid, headers, borla exhaust, and some minor suspension stuff. We are going from 20-120. How do you think I will do? Imma have to play the catch up game I think, pretty sure he's gonna jump ahead in the beginning.

Hope my car that dyno'ed at a "lowly" 295 rwhp will put up a fight... 
And Danny... wait till I get a bike, then we can play and see what's up.

no but really, if no one gets the jump, he will pull u , prolly about 2-3 cars by 120.

Well, we raced twice earlier tonight. First race was from 20mph, I just dropped the hammer and had massive wheel hop, he jumps ahead a good bit, powershift into second spin a little, he still is ahead, shift to third and wind it out, I start reeling him in, had him my maybe a fender at 120. Second race, I eased into the throttle, had no spin, gained about half a fender on him, powershifted into second had a little spin and gained about another half a fender, shifted into third gain some more ground, shifted into 4th and had him by a decent amount (maybe 1-1.5 cars???) at 120 and was still pulling.
I also ended up racing an RX-7 (Venom-X7). First race we went from a 10 roll, I jumped ahead in the beginning, easing into the throttle for no spin in first, slammed second spun a bit (these bald assed runcraps suck.) hit third and he starts pulling up beside me, top of third he has probably half a fender, hit fourth he starts to pull again, has about a car, missed fifth (WTF?!?!) so he gained about a car there, ended up arounf 145ish for me with him 2 or more cars ahead. Raced em a second time, this time from a 20 roll and him breakboosting, started out even and stayed that way until third, when he started gaining a little. Hit fourth and he gained some more, probably about a car, shifted into fifth correctly and he gained about another half a car, then stopped pulling. Stayed at 1.5ish cars until we shut down at ~155. Very fun stuff.
Also, I forgot to add we shot some video, so I'll be getting that up within the next few days.

Yes i do need a tune that is gonna be my next step with a ls6 intake. Also wish i put my DRs on . The first one i got decent traction the second run i didnt get any what so ever. I still give the vette props it pulled like a **** up top.

Initially, he's gonna have to peddal to keep traction unless he's got DRs on the car. As soon as he hooks he'll be gone, he'll keep on pulling you, probably 3-4 cars to 110, at which point he's gotta shift to 5th. Here youll stop his pull and possibly even start gaining back on him, but its too late. He only needs 10 more MPH, but youll be behind him still by a couple of cars. If your curious, have him take you for a ride. Ive surprised the **** out of a couple of stock vette owners taking them for a ride in my car (very similar to the aformentioned camaro).
