World's fastest stock turbo no n2o srt goes down..
I dunno how much you guys know about those cars but in Toledo we have a guy who ran 12.2 @ 112 w/ stock turbo no n2o in an srt. Last night we met up at the local makeshift 1/4th mile and got two runs in. First run I pulled him out of the hole and finished a good 1 - 1 1/2 carlengths out on him. Second race He launched a little better but I still pulled an honest carlength on him.
Both cars were running on bfg drag radials btw.
He goes by "dasmopar" for you srt guys.

he's trying to see how much power he can get out of the stock turbo, he's not using nitrous BUT he is using water injection. Prety quick for a stock turbo though (have you seen what they look like-they're smaller than a bagel)
problem with the stock turbo is...you can push 25 psi through them using water injection or race fuel...but they max out at about 20 so the turbo just over spins but nobody's home, if you know what i mean.
and the 12.2's that he runs are on fat SLICKS...so in all reality he has a 13 sec. srt when he's on DR's. Good kill that you can tell your grandchildren about

It don't matter what tires he runs...a 12.2 is a 12.2 anyway you look at it-in reality. Nobody cares if it was on slicks or street tires-it is still a 12.2. I am not sure what point you are trying to make...but to the victor, nice kill.

point i'm trying to make is, he didn't kill a 12.2 sec car, he killed a 13 sec car, that's all.
srt's tend to pick up about a 1/2-3/4 of a second when using slicks.

when he runs 12.2's is when he uses slicks.
when he raced the guy above he used drag radials.
slicks on a neon will save him at least a half second to 3/4 of a sec. in the quarter mile, my point being when he ran against him with DR's it was no longer a 12.2 car...understand? great.

I'm a six speed car. Needless to say after the race my clutch decided it had enough. What can you epect out of a stock clutch...Not trying to get any feathers ruffled up. I have just had some good races as of lately and have been very impressed w/ how my mild cammed partial bolt on car is doing. Example, edged out an intake and exhaust 03 cobra, (must have been the weight difference and driver playing a part in that one).

I guess I own a 12 second car since that's what it would run if I took off the blower and the nitrous. Actually, it's really a 13 second car that has all the bolt ons, a blower, nitrous, tires, etc.
There have been a lot of high powered cars that have lost to my 13 second car.

my car is really a 15 second car...... until i hit the gas. btw, not that it matters, but i think there is a flat 12 stock turbo/no n2o srt4 now.
