I am really disapointed in my LS1 How the f*ck can a Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution beat a 2002 z28???
My car: 2002 z28 A4, 9500 miles on it. Still under factory warranty.
Mods = Everything is stock except for Magnaflow cat back, SLP lid, bellows & K & N filter.
His: Lancer Evolution. Looked stock. From the Mitsubishi website here is some info on the car: The 2005 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution MR Edition is here at last – all turbocharged 276 horsepower of it.
It was a very quick race (there was other traffic on the road). We went from about 50. I floored it & we stayed together for a few seconds. Then he shot past me like I was standing still. WFT !?!?
Is this supposed to beat my car? If so, what would be the next mod(s) to my car so this doesnt happen again.
This really bums me out.

dont feel bad, ive been beat by an evo, he had catback and who knows what else. But the mr are faster than the reg evo 8's. 50 isnt exactly the best spot for you to kick down either.

That guy could've had every mod in the world on his car, and you're assuming he's stock. Make's absolutely no sense. Not to mention you went from a pretty bad speed for a stock auto.
I'm guessing a decent sized turbo, took some time to spool, then he shot away. He also could've had some juice, and you wouldn't know the difference. I'm guessing he wasn't stock, that's just my 2 cents.

I'm guessing he wasnt stock either a friend of mine has a stock evo with a boost controller. Although he isnt running any more then stock boost. i ran him from 40 which is a pretty good speed in second for me with 4.10s i jumped him and continued to pull, had about 4-5 cars on him around 120.

There are getting to be a number of EVOs, STis, and Skittles in the 11s, and some even tens now. Turbo 4-bangers can sound stock bad and be very innocuous until you hear the sound of the big hairdryer spooling up. These cars are suprisingly easy to get fast. Given this, and since you do not know what you were up against, I would not feel to bad about it. Of course, you could always go heads/cam/spray to be rather formidable yourself ...

Someone I know has one of those cars. And he only has full exhaust with a stupid *** blow off thing and is running 12.8's @ 110 mph. I really dont care for ricer cars but I think thats not a bad time for whats done to the car if hes telling the truth!!!!!! So dont feel too bad about getting beat by that evo because they all look stock to me even with the big wing on the back.

dont worry, I am sure he was modded pretty well. I have the SAME EXACT mods as your car, and mine's a 98 (slower
) and I've taken out numerous evo's. of course i've BEEN taken out plenty of times too. definetely get some more mods on there. if i had some more $$$ I would hehe. but wouldnt we all??? lol. anyway good luck and seeya!

EDIT: my biggest mistake after getting my car was thinking i was the fastest car around. I was quickly humbled by an '04 cobra.
don't sweat the small stuff, we all do it at first.

Don't feel bad, we lined up a stock evo with a stock 02 C5 A4 and the EVO I hate to say, destroyed the vette and pulled all the way to 140. However, the EVO didn't want to run again because he's on his 4th clutch in 15000 miles and you could smell he burnt the **** out of it on that run.
