Default ******* talkin trash need opinion, porsche, gt, and r6 involved

my friends and i met up with some rich ****, all they do is talk trash about how fast their cars are.
there is an 04 boxster (not S), a 99 gt (some bolt ons) and an r6.(these guys are all 17)

friend has z28 a4, with headers, intake, exhaust, 3500 stall, on yokos.

anyway,
he raced the boxster, 3 times, everytime he beat him by a car to 60.
camaro is babying the **** out of it cuz he just got stall. when i say babying, i mean like 50% throttle all of first yadda yadda.

so he won, but this *** is talkin trash saying that he won (dont ask me) he wont come out and race. the only one that will is the r6.

the camaro now can launch pretty good , he worked on it one nite, and it gets to 60 twice as fast.

so what is the best way to go about racing the r6. the guy riding it is 17 and is a ******* immature and has no skill what so ever.

i think off the line would be the best, cuz teh bike will be afraid to launch. i told my friend to do it on a flat street, but do u think up hill or downhill will give him any advantage????

thanks for any input

edit: here is the race , porsche sorry

From a dig and flat ground and u should do fine. Dont race to far or he will get you. If its a short race (0-60) I'd bet depending on you and your car's ability.

Just beat them up and tip over the bike. Nah I would say just race from flat or if you want the advantage up hill from a stop. I also wouldn't race to past 100mph with the bike.

I said up hill because the bike would wheelie more and if the kid cant ride and gets scared he'll get off the throttle.

Id say race him on flat land. If you race going up a hill in my book is kind of cheating. I would rather race someone flat and have it be an honest race.

From a dead stop the camaro is going to eat it up, especially with the 3500 stall converter. You want to make the race a short as possible because as soon as his powerband kicks in he is going to start gaining pretty quick. I have a 05 GSXR 600 and even the 600's aren't really anything you want to mess with. At the quarter he will beat you depending on how shitty of a rider he really is. But 0-60 i think the camaro will take him.

Even with a bad rider I dont think your going to come anywhere near a R6. Thats one bad lil bike I hope to own sometime after I get the TA.

heres the video https://ls1tech.com/forums/multimedia-exchange/300698-bolt-gt-bolt-z28-stock-r6-dispute-inside.html

a pretty fun race, i believe i had him from 0-60 but then his 2nd gear stepped in, and that thing is mad, he shot out in front in his second and kept pulling to 90.

I saw a lightly modded 04 r6 run a 11.6 at the track fairly consistantly. Had lousy 60fts for sure, my measily 1.8 knocked his dick off. So make sure your car can rip 1.6-1.8 60fts on the street and sub 11.99s and your golden. Pro driver on a stock 04 R6 managed 10.99s. This tool can probably manage a low 12 at his very best. He'll dump and bog, or dump and spin, bikes dont launch like cars do, it takes some finess (sp?) I race Motocross and its the same principles on the rocket when launching.

As for the porsche boxter,,, which is the poorman's porsche, being the cheapest model they offer. The S runs somewhere in the mid/lower 13s, nothing to brag about and the regular model you raced runs like a 14.1 or close to it. When you said you beat him by a car, i was perplexed. Then i read the 50% throttle part and had a sigh of relief, lmao.

Take his money!!!

PS spray on him too!

I dont think any of the Boxsters were in the 13's... maybe, and I say maybe, HIGH 13's. I know 350z's edge out the boxster and those run around 14 flat. This is talking bone stock of course. Boxsters are junk, unless a hot chick is whippin it

maybe it was 13.9-14.1 for the S and 15s for the regular.
Either way, both are turds.

I drive boxtsers every day and they S L O W even the s's, the new 987 boxster s (05s) are a lot quicker then the the older 986s and may be a mid 13 car. And the cayman the boxster coupes should also be mid-low 13s. You also have to watch out for the 3.4 996 motor swaped boxsters as they are much quicker. And I have a customer with a 3.4 swap and blower on his 97 boned out boxster and that thing is fast.

The R6 IMO, will dominate the camaro..at least run a 1/4 mile...whats this 0-60 nonsense?? That sereiosly is barley an 1/8th. The kid doesn't need driving skills all he has to do is pin it on every gear.. They do 11's stock...

Actually with a good rider they do 10's stock.

Go hop on any of the new 600's and see if it's as easy as pin it and shift. Trust me buddy, it aint.

All the same, 10 second bike vs 13 second Camaro..??? He doesn't need to pin anyways if it's running 10's.

i ran a 600 on the highway, a gixxer if i recall. took me right away, but i was pulling hard after 100. he just had no top end. same thing with my buddies ninja zx7r. he has no top end, but he has crazy acceleration, but its cause he swapped sprockets. its always a challenge playing catch up. but fun regardless

I just raced an R6 from 70-120, no problem! Farley even, though I may have inched him a bit.
