240Z on jackstands vs MIG Welder
I'm swapping an LT1 and a T5 tranny into my 1973 Datsun 240Z and it's just about ready to fire for the first time but is still on jackstands. I was in the garage working on it tonight when I notice this Hobert Handler MIG welder across the garage giving me the eye. I can't let this go on with out responding so I jump in the car and start the mouth motor. GRRRR the engine rumbles to life and off we go, at first the welder had the advantage and was pulling away but then I kicked in the muffler bearings and I started gaining on it. As I was pulling up next to the welder we encounter the garage wall and are forced to make a sharp left hand turn, with the jackstands sqealing on the concrete floor and the muffler bearings at thier breaking points I'm able to negoiate the turn and pull in front of the welder. By now I'm several welder lengths ahead and the MIG gives up. That'll teach him to mess with me, my mouth motor and muffler bearings again.
Just having some fun and providing a little comic relief.
