Ok one of my friends dads has a 89 Porsche 911 Turbo with like 30k VS my 99 LS1 Trans AM. He thinks he will beat me by at least 3 cars or more...I just beat a 2002 Trans Am Ram Air Limited Edition Last nite by 1 car from a Roll of about 50MPH...will i get him if i get a good dig like i know i can or should i roll?

What are your mods? If you're bone stock, you should be able to get him, though not by very much.

I think he should run mid to high 13's. it'll be close, but hopefully you will take him. i doubt he'll be pulling any 3 cars unless there is a serious error on your end.

With only 30,000 on that car...it should run like brand new. They are usually mid 13 second cars. All it would take would be a boost controller, injectors, and programming (less than $1000) and he would be in the 12's

I don't think any porsche can be modded for only 1K.

You'd be incredibly suprised. Just because it is a porche dosnt mean you cant buy a generic boost controller, blow off valve, waste gate etc. for cheap. You can custom fab a big single turbo kit for it and use parts that are used on a toyota supra for example.

Limited edition means that there are very few made (I'm sure you knew that) and it was kinda of like a going away thing for TRANS AM..nothin big about them except there yellow with graphics down the side and a big bird badge on the door above trans am with other lil things to set aside from other ram airs...nothin else done to the motors

Got this off Supercars.net. Now I know statistics from websites or in magazines aren't always the best to go by as far as performance accuracy, but they'll definitely give you an idea of what you're running up against. As long as he's stock, and you can drive your car, you should take him... but it's gonna damn close. And certainly try to get it on vid, win or lose.
