Default Porsche GT2 vs Boosted Z28

I was on the freeway last night and cruising along at about 75 when I saw a nice Porsche in the fast lane. I thought it was a Turbo, and I didn't think the driver wanted to play. He started to pace me, and then out of the blue, he nailed that thing! It took off so fast, I didn't have time to react! I was not in 3rd anyway. He slowed and I got next to him again, this time in 3rd from about 75. He nailed it again, and by the time my rear mount spooled, he was two cars ahead. I held him to two cars until he shut down at around 115. I did get to see the GT2 affixed to his tail when he went by.

I was determined to get a jump on him to see if he would reel me in. I got next to him again around 75 and let it rip before he did. I got one car on him and was suprised when I held him there until he shut down again around 115. It was nice to see him behind me for once when it was over.

I recently built an alky injection kit, and bumped my boost to 6 psi. I'm happy that I can hang with the likes of a GT2 (when he lets me spool that is) I'm moving that damned turbo up front where it belongs in a few weeks!

I'd have no chance with my current tires. I'd be still spinning through 2nd, and he'd be crossing the big end.

Maybe with tires and clutch, I wouldn't look like too much of a fool.

No dyno time yet. I'd have to guess and I'd probably be wrong.

GT2s are some sweet and fast rides. When my car was stock with a NX 150 shot, it took everybit of that 150 hit to just stay even with one from a roll.

So generally speaking, it sounds like you need 425-450rwhp to hang with a stock one...

I hung with a stock one, he might have so, so, so, slightly been pulling me, but then i'd catch back up at the higher rpms at the end of each gear from a 3rd to 5th ***** out race

According to my old Road & Track the 2002 Porsche 911 GT2 has 456hp and 457 bl-ft or torque. It runs a 11.9 @120.6mph. Its Twin Turbochargers.

Nice Race man
