Default c6 and gixxer :)

on sunday, since VMP was closed, me and a few friend decided to head up to MIR since its not too much further away than VMP is. We had an alright day. i dropped my 60 from 2.2 to 1.8/1.9 but still ran the same times as i ran with a 2.2 so i was a little disappointed to say the least.

well, on the way back, were cruising along on, doing 80 or so, when i see a silver c6 up ahead. i have a blue lightning and a black blown lt1 z28 following me and i see my friend in the L coming up next to me, and he rolled down the window and just started smiling and pointed at him. so, i take her out of 6th, and put it in 5th and cruise up next to the c6 on the left. when i get beside him i look over and kinda stare for a second before he decides to look over at me. he finally does, and gave a small grin....and then he hit it. im in 5th doing about 80 or so, so i drop it into 3rd and give chase. hes about 2 cars up and im following him tight, not letting him get away. we take it up through 4th and into 5th before he shuts down. and the whole time im staying behind him, tight on his ***.

we start slowing down and he merges over one lane and slows some more, and i stay in the left and put it in 4th let out the clutch to let the duals breath. we slow to bout 80 again, with him on my right again, and i think he was done 'playing' for the day, but i quickly downshift into 3rd again and let him hear me, and i see and hear him do the same. he looks over, and i give him to hand motion to go when hes ready, and he gave me a small nod.

he turns his head straight, and hits it. (i let him get about a half second jump b/c when i was chasing him before, i knew i what i could do). hes about 1/2 car ahead, and im pulling hard in 3rd w/ the duals screaming, and then i bang 4th and am going by him. by the end of 4th im about 2-3 cars ahead and then we shut down.

i merge over 2 lanes to get on his right and he came up and rolled down the window and said 'good stuff man' and then continued on his way. he had a Va military license plate w/ one of those long foreign ones that i could see was still underneath that one. so i assume he was miltary and got it overseas and brought it back with him. cool guy though. wish one of us had a camera.

then when we get back close to home, were on 64E and i see a bike a little ways ahead so i came up behind him and gave him a nice rev. he slows down and lets me come up on his right and looks over at me w/ the standard 'you have a car, im going to kick your ***' look. so i naturally drop it in 2nd and show him i wanna go. he takes off and i go back into 2nd and give chase. i see a car coming into my lane about 1000 feet ahead so i merge behind the bike. im in 3rd now, going into 4th and i keep having to let off the gas to keep from getting too close to this guy. (i was already right on his tire.) we end up going into 5th, and i miss so he pulls ahead by a car or so, and then we shut down. my friend in the L said it was a gixxer 600.

yea, i like messing with bikes. most of them have the 'holier-than-thou' attitude, and think theyre untouchable. and the sad thing is, alot of people think the same way. i have a few friends who think no car can beat a bike

I'm guessing that I'm one of those friends. Maybe the guy on the bike had it in the wrong gear . One day I'll see you race a GSXR-600 and if you beat him then I'll never doubt you again.

No Way! A Car could never beat a bike. Especially, a GSXR! :-D

No way. That's too far for me to drive to race a busted camaro. She's strictly a highway racer for now, but then again you know that. Thanks for making me burn my tires on Saturday, now I've got to get new ones .

yea, but a 600 is WAY different than running a liter bike. 110-120rwhp compared to 170-180 rwhp at the exact same weight is a huge difference. but a 600 is still fast, so nice run. you've got one quick car there.

i still say its not possible. a 600 with 110-120hp weighing somewhere between 350-400lbs (could be wrong on that), has a waaaaaaaay better power to weight ratio than a 3400lb formula with 375rwhp. i'm not talking **** here, i'm just stating facts.

from a roll the car has the advantage, especially if it's not a good rider. also depends on the year of the gixxer(carb vs. FI) if you can trap 115+ then i'd say you can hang with a 600 pretty well. it's not like he actually pulled a car on it or anything.

it was a newer gixxer, FI, not carb.

and nick, stop complaining about your tires. i burned mine more than you, and i went to the track, and did it some more, AND after that we went out sunday night and i did it again lol. peer pressure is killing me.lol.
