I raced a supercharged (intercooled) 05' mustang GT last night. From what he told me it has LT Headers, 373's , short throw shifter, and the supercharger, he told me it was Dyno'd at 510 HP and 500Tq at the wheels, he spent over 14K on it (labor included) He had 20 inch rims on it, so his traction wasnt completely terrible, but we went from a dig, he asked me "How are we gonne do this" I told him just to go and i'll catch up, so he goes and as soon as i see him, i take off and catch him from a car length behind and at about 10mph i hit the juice (1,000psi ) and the closest he gets is about 3 1/2 car lengths behind me, except when i hit the brakes and he got closer to make it more respectable, BTW i shut it off around 120mph. I know he could smash me from a roll, but never from a dig. Anyways im pretty stoked b/c its been dyno'd at 510 so i know im doing somthing right. Whatt'a think?

I'm trying to figure out how this mustang had 510/500 at the wheels. He'd have to be running a LOT of boost and I can't imagine that level of boost would be safe on that stock motor. I'm assuming he would have mentioned if the motor was built.

Full exhaust/bolt-ons with a blower, I could see 500rwhp out of the car pretty easily.

All he said was LT's, gears, short-throw shifter & supercharger. I have to assume if he's going to mention a short-throw shifter he'd mention other things.

Don't the new mustangs only dyno about 260rwhp or so when stock? Adding 250rwhp with LT's and a supercharger is a LOT. And if it is at that power level on the stock motor, i can't imagine it would be too safe of a setup. Those motor's arent forged like the Cobra's.

I'm hearing 500rwhp on the 3V motor with blowers at 14psi...motor is holding it. I have yet to see it in person so it could be all

Well it does make sense, the car should respond to FI very well being a 3v. Not quite as well as the 4v cars but better than the previous gts. I wouldnt say it is out of the question with the appropriate tune.

Good kill. I've been trying to meet up with this high school kid that has a blown 05. I'm pretty sure he hasn't come across anything that has beat him. His car sure is nice though, black, raised hood, and some chrome 18" deep dish rims. It really grabs your attention.

Not completely true. In a 1/4 race a Mach 1 is capable of running low 13's all day with a 103-105 trap speed stock. Damn sure a tough compeititor for an LS1 Camaro or Trans AM.
