So hurting your car is worth one little race to 130mph? A few seconds of fun <> a hurt motor.

No need to worry. It is unlikely that you floated valves. Stock fuel cutoff is 6200.

hmmm id rather lose a race than hurt my car

either you have more money than you know what to do with or you hate cobras so much that you would damage your car to beat one

to me he won that race because his car is still ok

As far as it being worth it, its was just a Cobra, not a $250k ferrari with some 20 year old trash talking punk in it. In that case, it might have been worth it

Also, did you raise your rev limiter? if not than as Gary pointed out you would have been cut-off at 6200rpm and nevre would have seen 7k.

Ya if you were at 7k you were WAY past wher you should shift for best performance. The stock cam stops pullin at 5600 and starts to fall off fast. So shiftin at 6k is best. GL with the motor. Floating falves aint bad if ya dint hit a piston iwht a valve. GL
