so im dropping off a friend last night. a camaro is on my *** through the parking lot. he pulls to the side of me, turns out to be the girl that im dropping offs friend... well. this guy with the camaro says to me "what do you have in there"? im like, little cam thats about it. he grins and says, lets race! im like, whatever. he turns to his buddy that HEs dropping off too and says "get out of the freakin car so i can go kick this guys *** in a race!"

i kinda grinned. i couldnt tell if his car was cammin or if it was mine resonating off of his lol. i ask him if hes cammin, he says, nah . his buddy gets out and goes to me "his car is fast man. dont race him for money or anything...he has his cutout closed...its a monster" im like, ok, ill go for fun. new setup and i dont even know what the hell mine runs.

im pretty new to the area so i follow him to an industrial park. him and his other buddy in the car are grinnin. im like ****, he must be spraying or something if hes that confident we check out the road and its all good. we go to line up, he doesnt do a burnout. im like, whats the deal, you arent gonna heat them up? hes like, nah, i dont need to. so to play along i didnt either road is ****. think it was asphalt, and i could just tell it wasnt gonna hook.

im on 100% stock suspension and some junk *** 16" radials so i knew i was gonna have a problem. his buddy flags us and i take him out of the hole. im peddaling the **** out of the car. i can see him doing the same. he got a grab before me though and about 60 feet out he got next to me. i said i dont think so, pushed the go pedal down and the **** hooked (2.73s rule) . one i hooked, i steadly pulled away from him.

i threw the hazards on at 80 and shut her down before i even hit 100. we turn around and pick up his friend. he just acknoweldges that he just got his *** beat. says i have a pretty fast car then he starts going on about why he lost the race. his cutout was closed, his trans wasnt shifting, etc etc. lol. he then started telling me how his car had 3.42s from the factory with an auto. i didnt think that was an option for autos. i just played some dumb joe schmoe, little did he know i actually knew these cars. he kept asking who i was and why he didnt know who i was. apparantly he thought he was the biggest and baddest f-body in the town. guess i proved him wrong last night

Yeah it's great when you can beat someone and they arn't sure why. It eats them up inside.

nope im wrong lol i dont know why but i kept thinking 3.42s but its 3.23s

2.73 or 3.23 were the only two options with the 4L60E. All M6's got the 3.42's.

yea, the 2.73s are kinda cool on the street. once 20-30 rolls around you get in your band and just rocket. after the shift, it just keeps climbing like a ****. my 2-3 shift is at 110 mph lol i had to lower the 1-2 shift point though cause from about 40 mph roll the car just blows the tires off and will ride the limiter i think its set to shift at 42 mph on the 1-2 <barf> maybe ill raise it when i get some nittos.

yeah i checked the 2-3 shift at WOT and mine was around 100. Then again i was going downhill and turning....
