im at this meet n greet car show thing in a parking lot...n someones like nice SS (it was the nicest car there, naturally), you should race this dude with the SI....im like ok
soo we talk..n we agree to race on the higway, one race just to see whats up..no more..

apparently hes got ALL the work done to a civic you can without making it a drag car and NO spray..n im stock, minus my SIG mods...
he wants a 40mph rolling start...im like no way...i wanted a 30, so w compromised...35...(id kill him out of a dig...cause of turbo lag, but racing on the city streets around here is retarded and DANGEROUS...soo i avoid it if i can)
on the highway.... i drop it into second and he beeps three times and BOOM we're off...
i hear his turbo spooling and he instantly pulls on me...
i bang it into 3rd, dont miss at all...and continue to step on it...i begin to pull, then i bang it into 4th at about 6000 RPM, clean shift and i start to take the lead....it was a slow gain but nevertheless i was beating him...then i hit the brakes cause i didnt wanna hit some lady in front of me coming up VERy quickly....
all in all...i beat him...not by much but i beat him...sooo
Thats my story, anyones $0.02 is welcome, good or bad...

Sup dude...this was actually up in Broward...I'm going to TOWERS tonight....dont know if you've heard of it...its a vERY BIG car show in Davie at the Tower Shops (595 n University, a lil south of 595)...lots of nice cars inclyding LS1's n Stangs n such

And oh yeah, the civic...well...a newer style SI, the pregnant roller skate type, but Ill say he did it nicely...its White, running 7 lbs (or so he says)
Full appearance mods, big brake kits all the way around ( $$$$), guages, full exhaust, BOV, **** like that....it was the nicets SI ive seen, but, c mon...i LOVE F BODIES hahaha and i actually pay for mine

Ummm.....I wouldn't get my hopes up too high that you can beat any civic that isn't a "drag car" unless you're runnng 10's or better. But nice kill! There are lots of turbo imports that aren't very fast, so it's good to give them a reality check. I like your attitude!

Sounds to me like the guy dosnt want to risk breaking anything by only running 7psi. I'm pretty sure he could run close to double that without being in too much jeopardy, and that would have been enough to change the way the race went.

yeah his 4 banger def pulled....i was surprised....and i didnt say i could beat any import thats not a drag car, there are some FAST imports out there....im just saying he had ALOT of work done...
it was a good race...we shook hands and that was it...a fun night ya know
