? about 383 lt1
there is a 383 heads and mild cam lt1 that i would like to run for some $$
he has all bolt-ons and a m6 and a 150 shot, before his stroker he would run 14.3 at my sealevel and 12.6 on the bottle with slicks.my best time is a 14.01@102.36 with a 2.560ft on street tires and the mods in my sig. by the end of this month i'll have a stall and 150 wet shot and some 275/50/r15 Et streets. i want us to run all-motor first and then on the bottle. just wanted some input before i put money on it.
thanks

My advice would be to get that launch down pat before you race anybody. 2.5 is hideous, my FWD buddies were breaking 2.2s on stock tires.
Kiss your money goodbye. A properly set up 383 will have no problem getting into tens... especially on the bottle.

I have a 383 LT1, and I'm thinkin you're gonna get smoked. If he hooks out of the hole, he will absolutely run away from your LS1 car. You may start running him down on topend, because LS1's are stronger up top, but by the time you start building power, he'll be too far ahead. I also agree with the other guy, your 60 foot times need to come down, way down. I'm running under 2.0 on street tires and 1.7's on slicks. If you can get your car out of the hole quickly, you MIGHT have a chance.
