Default Finally an 05 GTO.......... vs 233/239 Z28 (me)

Brand new 05 Goat. Obvious exhaust mod
(sounded )
Not sure of others
Pulls up next to me, 2 young guys.
Pretty secure looking in thier superiority

We are next to each other at a light, w/me one car behind someone. I pull behind him and move over as I have to get the entrance to the highway.

He is too

We share a couple revs. Time to turn. We get on it, I am pulling hard. I have about a car thru 2nd so i get the cut out lane rights!
A very respectable steetracer. Did not bully his way thru. Just pulled behind and waited for room to line up w/me again.

1 down

Finally someone who knows the 3 honks rule!

He lines up, gives me the look.
I honk it. From 3rd at 65 I pull a car quick, then another, hit 3rd, maybe another car or so

He's not done.

We line up again. He rolls his window down and made my day.
He yells, "that things fuc**n fast
I nod and say thanx.
I ask if he wants another from a slower roll.
We line up at about 55 so now I am 2nd at about 4.5k
This one was even better. I drop the nice new Aussie,
revs climb quick, bang 3rd, few cars........and were done.

He respectably pulls behind and follows me for about 10 miles cruising the highway at about 65, daring the ricers we pass to start something.

He exits and I throw a wave I bet he missed.

If you read this. Nice Goat! and what the hell u got done?

Cliff notes!

Me from 55 roll > *

We'll have to square off after I do my cam install. Definitely have the weight advantage and no, I'm not the person you ran. If you see an MBM that sounds like it has LT's, that's me, or my wife. Either one of us will be glad to oblige.

Those numbers are with headers, CATs and stock exhaust. Cam may go in this weekend. It's a pretty decent cam that should work well with gears. Since the Goat is a heavier car, the 3.46 stock setup does not launch well.

I raced a Z06 at Bandimere and he beat me by .2 in the 1/4. That was with stock all season tires and a 2.4 sec 60ft. I probably won't upgrade the tires until after winter.

It was a 14.7@99 with a 2.4 sec 60 ft. The vette turned a 14.5@104. That was without my K&N CAI setup. The car was starving for air. I'm putting in the HPE S cam and having them set up the PCM. They did an 05 GTO that pulled 428 rwhp but he had no cats and a cat back.

I think the biggest improvement will be the gears, I weighed 3925 with me in the car (I'm 205).
