lx stang vs. ls1 ta i have k&n whisper lid, ported throttle body, tb bypass, "free" ram air, ls6intake, long tube headers, not cats, no air, egr, flowmaster, 3.73s, shift kit, 17X11's crappy street tires. i think thats about it. ohh yeah hypertech but i don't run it because i heard it didn't help after you had done a few mods.
Vs. 90ish mustang lx 5spd, 5.0, edelbrock performer heads, holley systemax intake, full exhust, cam????
ok who do you guys think would win 1/8 mile at the race track.

dude... i beat a 90 Stang with a cam, exhaust and a paxton supercharger and i have nothing except a lid, but it was a very close race. I dont even know why youre worrying about it, you have way more go fast goodies than i have, just put a couple bucks down and race him.

If your going to lay down some cash you better be sure he isn't spraying a head/cam 5.0 with a 200 shot can be nasty and you might want to find out what kinda gears he's running.. just my 2 cent

oh ya, the guy i raced was completely untuned, too. Forgot to say that. You should probly think about investing in some new tires if youve got crappy ones now. To help you out, you could waste a little gas or take out your back seat just for the race. Hey, it could mean the difference between winning or losing. ya never know. Im pretty sure youll shut him out anyway though. Just try it out, and tape it if you can.

I ran 12.3@116 in a stock 5.0L with an A-Trim.
In an answer to your question, who knows it really depends on the driver, how well the car is setup, what tires. Figure a mild H/C/I 5.0L on a slick should be able to run the 1/8 in the high 7s in the mid to high 80 mph range. I figure it will be a close run.

yeah i think it will be a good race. i'll video tape and post. i know he's not runnin juice. The car had nitrous on it when he got it but its sittin in his bedroom now. anybody want to buy a tnt 5.0 kit witha bottle heater for $350.
