well, it's been awhile since i have raced anybody. (kinda trying to stay away from getting in trouble), but lately i've had the urge to have a decent run and i think i found it..here are the cars:
2004 z06 mods: b&b cat back, k&n filter with zip tie mod.
vs
00 trans am mods: long tubes, magnaflow cat back and off rd y pipe, air lid and 100 dry shot of nos, m6 and think he is still using the stock ls1 intake.
Both cars will be on street tires and it will be a 30mph roll.
Mostly everyone i've talk to said it will be a driver's race. im thinking whoever gets better traction will win. what does everyone here think?

I think the z06 will hang with him until he hits 3rd gear and he will get pulled decently

I think on the spray he wins, assuming his ECU can handle the dry shot. From a 30 MPH roll, traction should not be the determining factor.

he looks to be putting out around 365-370 if he is tuned. sounds like you will take him if he doesnt spray, but if he does then who knows, drivers race.

i dont think he is tuned..it is just a dry shot and full exhaust..both of us on street tires.

I think it will be in high 11s with his mods and 100 shot.


Z06 will run mid to low 12s with a decent driver.

I'll take the Z06...Especially if the T/A is on street tires...He is not going to be able to make use of that 100 shot until he is at least in second gear or he will just be spinning his wheels while the Z will be off and running...

i say it will be real close. the T/A might be a little quicker, but like someone already said, if he hits the N2o in 1st from 30mph he will be roasting the tires and the zo6 will be pullin away.

Im going to go out on a limb and say hes smart enough to know to hit it in second instaed of first and will walk by you and be ahead by atleast 3 cars.

you're looking at a 330-340rwhp car with 100 shot vs. a 365-ish rwhp car that weighs slightly less.

Everything considered the T/A will pull about a car and a half on the juice.

I would have to say the t/a.But you never know depending driver mod and traction.I had friends buy some of my old cars and run over a half second slower than what I used to run in it.Iv'e ran a 12.1 @113 in a 99 t/a a4 with a 100 shot, lid, cat back,3500 stall,16" et streets,with cats,stock ls1 intake,and stock exhaust manifolds,stock tb,full weight car w/230 lb.driver, no tune,no shift kit.My window switch turns off the nitrous and seems like forever 2nd to 3rd gear shift,so if he has a tune to firm shifts or a shift kit, it would make a good diffrence.Goodluck,Let me know how it turns out.I would like to know how I would do against a lightly modded zo6

How HEAVY is the TA? This will determine the outcome of this race, my 99 Z28 on a 150 shot made ALOT more power than my current Z06 but the Z06 is still faster NA....
