02 Z-28 vs. 04 GT
Well, I was driving home last Thursday night and pulled up to the light and noticed this chick driving an 04 Gt. We pretty much looked at each other and grinned. I didn'tthink much about it. Didn't really even think about racing. When the light turned green she tore out. In a split second I said to myself, okay, if that's waht she wants. By this time she was about three car links ahead. I just laid the hammer down and passed her like she was sittin still, got about 4 links ahed of her and waited for her to catch up. We were haveing a good time. I got to the next light and she asked to go again. I said okay, and told her I would give her a head start. Which I did. Then passed her again. Afetr beating her, I let her get up close and we both chatted side by side. She said I just had to see, Pride thing you know. I said that's okay. I'll have to spend 30 bucks to fill my gas tank up again with all the gas prices going up. We both laughed and that was it. It was nice to race someone and laugh about it in the end.

I have a friend with a stock 05 gt. His is a M5. It seems to have a lot of torque but winds out quickly. I've out ran him and I've also driven his car. It's formidable

I have heard that the torque management on the 05's is a problem. I raced a new GT (5 speed) last weekend. It wasn't to impressive to me, especially considering I walked him fairly easy. However, I was beaten by a fender by one when I had my 94 T/A. The T/A ran 13.30's@103. Like I said, they can be decent competition, especially once more and more become modded.

Another LS1 vs. LT1....stock the LS1 is stronger, mod for mod, the LS1 is more stout (unless you reach the limits of the aluminum block.... LT1 heads flow much less than LS1 heads, stock, end of story, my GT40P heads flow almost as much as LT1 heads, and i have a 302. My heads are almosti identical to 98 explorer heads...

I feel the flames getting hot already, but I just call them like I see them! It's kinda like when you first get sh*tfaced on Jagimeister (spelling?) and you throw up green toxic waste for hours. You'd probably cringe at the sight of or smell of that adult beverage. That's the way I feel about the LT-1.
