RXS Type S/ With mods
A buddy of mine was trash talking when he bought his 2003 RSX type S a few months back, about how he would beat me in a race. so i raced him and won. but now he went out and bought a header, cat back, and Cold Air Intake and says he wants to run again. my cars dyno numbers and mods are listed below, should it still be a win for me?? or is his car going to be a challenge for me now??

If you can drive, yea i know its not that hard its an auto, but its also the street, i say you'll roast him, the only way you would lose if if you just sit and spin at the line, those cars have like 200 stock right? if he's lucky he'll get 15hp at the wheels with those mods...so 200 x .85 is 170 plus his 15 so 185 at the wheels w/15% lost in the drivetrain (it may be less though) so your at least 100hp more at the wheels then him and his weight advantage is about 650lbs on a dry car, i'd say the race is yours,

Sorry, I just have to laugh every time I hear about people buying "a header". Just sounds so wrong. I guess the 4 cyl. guys need to have fun too though..... to each their own.

if he can drive well...and you can't...from a roll...it would be close.....from a dead stop...you should get him again..unless you suck at launching and he doesn't...odds are stacked against him, but after first gear when he is in the powerband..those cars can move.

Thank-you, & finally we hear a voice of reason. I get tired of reading "will rice beat" posts & "I kiiled a ..." thread, only to find out that there wasn't really a race, but, "it would have happened if I hadn't........".
This isn't a bash against anyone directly, it's directed toward these two subjects.

Yeah... now he's hittin on all four.
Those specs on the RSX... the LS1 spanks it, AND gets better mpg. I love it!

You will rape the crap out of that RSX. I beat an S2000 from 55-95 only using4th gear (shoulda grabbed 3rd until 80) and i GUARANTEE those are meaner from a roll than a RSX-S. My friend has an RSX, trust me, no header/CAI is going to beat an LS1, and like stated, those cars practically need a new tune to recognize an oil change, LMAO. You should kill him unless you stall on take-off and are slow starting your car up again.

I know how much it adds, but it makes absolutely no difference.
