Default crx

Hey guys

There is a guy around here that keeps talking about droping and rsx motor into a crx.How will that car run?According to him it should high 11's.Is this true.He keeps talking and talking about it,so I challenged him to a race.I don't know what I run in the 1/4 mile but my 1/8 of a mile time is 8.02 @ 89. Do I stand a chance?

A bone stock RSX 2.0 in a CRX would be a solid 14 sec car. With a gutted one (CRX), and some minor mods (ECU, header, intake, etc.) and traction he could run solid 13's all day long. He's not gonna hit 11's without either some serious engine work or a PA.

Going by your 1/8 ET/MPH you should be mid-low 12's @ 110-113ish.

No way he'd stand a chance against your car unless he adds a PA, which is definately possible. Because that'd be a lot to work to put that motor in a old CRX just to leave it stock...

Without something serious, he's got no chance against you.

Those motors take pretty well to turbo's. They can get the RSX's into the lows. so it would take quite a bit of work to get that into the 11's. He'd have to go FI.

And you raced a.....? This section is for people whom have had races. However, it seems to be more of an inquiry section. For example: Questions like "will rice own me" belong in the racer's lounge. If these threads ever led to an actual race, that would be one thing, but, they never do.

dude, the motor hes talking about is a "k" motor, its all the rage in the honda community-run 11's or 12's or some other bullshit like that, theoretically they think they can run in the 12-11's n/a and they are also hi- compresion being something like 10.5-11:1 so if he says hes going to turbo it he better know his ****. come on dude you have an ls1 enuff said

I find one thing funny, you said you only know ls1s etc and know nothing about supra motors but now you know about hondas?

Anyways the K motors a beasts and have made 300plus+ In all motor forum. I heard someone is shooting for 400BHP. If it was a Bserous motor that you wouldnt have a problem with it.

There is a Hatch out here with a K20R in it. It will run low 13's all day long.

Fully built motor, gutted, not to sure. 2 stepped, all the goodies. the usual stuff I guess lol. Oh and he is always on slicks too. So if you are in the mid 12's you shouldn't have a problem. It won't be an *** whopping, but you should get him.

Um its not a fully built car, whats fully built on it? only ricer kids say fully built yet dont say whats dont to it. How about this a K20R is the type R motor wich is around 220hp give or take stock. A US spec one is 200hp. But Wich K motor does he have? A TSX motor is the same HP as a RSX but its a 2.4 wich makes more TQ. Hes low 12s buddy maybe tad bit faster, with min boltons.

Don't call me a ricer. Im far from it. He asked a question, I tried to provide an answer. I don't know what he has done because he is real secrative about it and races for money alot. I say fully built like internals, etc...
