Default Finally, my first corvette: 2001 Z06 (pics within)

Been a member of the corvette forum for a few years and finally got one to call my own!

Price paid $24k

What I got:

2001 Black/Black Z06, 24k miles, original owner, non-smoker, strictly maintained, always garaged, showroow condition, GMPP extended warranty, New tires (originals just replaced), brand new Optima battery, Mobil1 oil change for my drive back. Only mod: K&N filter. he took it to the track 1 time and got 13.0@114. Met a very nice guy whom I hope to be a long time friend.

PRICELESS!

Here are the pics:

Looks good, but you gotta vacuum that thing, there's dirt and stuff all over the driver's side floormat j/k. Had to say it, one Z06er to another. Lose the stock airbox pronto and get a short throw shifter. BTW, I didn't see a kill story in this post either Oh, well, bow down and worship the mighty Z06!!!!!

Thanks guys! Don't worry mods are planned, just don't want to reveal. All I can tell you is it will be able to spank a 911TT soon in pretty much all areas. Anyone thinking of stepping up to a vette, don't hesitate, its amazing. they are so light and so nimble and easy to drive. I mean this thing stops on a dime, corners unbelievably...so flatly so quickly, and its quiet, comfy and smooth as hell. Plus it has a lot of niceties like dual zone climate control, extensive digital driver info center, dual memroy settings, monochromatic mirrors, active handling etc etc etc. Its like you can cruise in stlye and comfort like a lexus and when its time to play you can haul *** in an instant. Its just an amazing all around car!
Thanks again!
kevin

The 2001's (the year the Z06 was introduced) was factory rated at 385. From 2002-2004 the Z06 was factory rated at 405hp to the flywheel, hence the new badges. Difference included a descreened MAF and something else I believe, somebody else can go into detail on the differences I'm sure.

Damn man, any other good deals on Z06s floating around? I was going to buy a well-built F-body, but would much rather a Z06 if they can be had for that.

WWOOWOWOWOWO! how did you find a z06 like that for 24K!! that is sooo sweet dude. did you use special powers to lower the asking price or something. every time i look at z06s there like 35K or more. heck just the other day i was looking at a 1999 FRC with 35K miles and it was like 21,000 bucks. wtf
