I like the look of the SRT8 a lil more than the GTO, BUT.....That SRT-8 is heavier than that GTO....Or at least looks that way the me.

I would have to give it to the GTO for the HP to weight ratio.....

Yeah the SRT-8 has 25 more hp but it weighs 4160 pounds compared to the GTO's 3770.

If the 300c SRT-8's can run 12.9's (said in another kill story) im sure the chargers can run at least a little faster. I say the charger will win somehow. Scientifically the GTO would win. Because, when i think about it, those chrysler 300 SRT8's dyno at around 360 which is in the same house as the GTO. Im really stumped now.

not all people can take the car to a 12.9
should be a good race, both nice cars but GM is better haha...driver's race i think
it should be interesting when we start seeing some dyno #s from both cars to compare

There's a guy on 300cforums.com that got his bone stock Chrysler 300 SRT-8 to run a 12.9 at 108. I even have a video of one running a 13.3 so they're definitely no worst than mid 13's on the average.

well if the charger has more stiffer suspension they'll be at a loss for traction.

And as for a weight difference between the 300c and Charger According to Dodge's Site the curb weight for the R/T is 4031lbs and 4160lbs for the Srt-8 version both with auto trans. 300c curb is 4046lbs for both the 5.7L and 6.1L hemi, according to manufacturer's website. the AWD 300C weighs in at 4251lbs.

that "charger" looks great IMO! but i still love the old school ones better, anyways i think you will beat the charger. by like 2 cars, i beat my buddies 300c srt8 by like 2 cars.

i think the new charger is absolutely beautiful. even though it is just a raised magnum without the hatch. in a race..hmm.. the srt-8 has like 425 horse doesn't it? so it's packing quite a punch. i think off the line with the right driver the srt-8 has an edge over the gto. but because of the weight the gto will gradually pull past once he's in 3rd gear.

Ok so the SRT 8 Has 25 more hp, but wieghs almost (Someone posted above) 4160, isnt the GTO roughly 300lbs lighter(maybe less)?

If so that blows the 25hp gain that the SRT 8 has over the GTO.

It would be a great race to see, but I still go with the GTO.
