Default Best personal kill to date. Me vs. Lamborghini Gallardo

I was on my way to go my poker night. While getting on the freeway, I notice a car coming up very fast in the mirror. I slow down to see what it is. Sure enough, it is a Yellow Lamborghini Gallardo. The best thing is, when he passes me, he revs. his car at me. The V10 sounded pretty nice. He rolls down his windows and asked if I wanted to play, of course I could not pass this oppurtunity up. I told he lets do this. We slowed down to about 40mph and did the three honks. He jumped about a car length on me in second, then I hit third and pulled him back in. When I hit fourth we where even, bumper to bumper and then pulled ahead on the top of fourth. When I hit fifth, I was about a car length ahead of him. I let off when I started pulling away in fifth. We slowed back down to about 70mph and rolled down our windows. He gave me a thumbs up and asked what I had in my car and I let him know. Then he exited on the next off ramp. This was the first race I have done since installing my Spec. Stage 5 clutch. He heald the power great. Nothing like american muscle beating up the exotics from across the pond.

Last time at the track the clutch was going out a slipping after 4500rpm. Still was able to pull a 12.1 at 118 while still roasting the tires. My perfect shift point is at 6200rpm. Damn 315 drs don't hook. need to swap my rear end, then it is time for some slicks and hopefully some high tens.

i raced one the first week they came out in the US. a guy local bought 4 of them, put the money down 2 years before they went into production. he was a cocky as focker... he was like you want to put your american HP up against my italian stalian, i was like, yeah ok lets go... we went to I-35 in dallas and hit it it from 60 at 95 mph i pulled his *** and there was no looking back. a friend of mine was in my car and another friend of mine was in his car... i have never looked at those cars the same since, this was almost 18-20 months ago. my '04 Z06 was stock at that time.

nice race, i love killing exotics, which are common around here. killed an aston martin 2 weeks ago on 75 going through the upscale part of dallas. 200k+ cars killed, its a nice feeling!!!

Blown04Z06,

i doubt the guy new how to drive that car/// not sayin your car aint fast... just that when people beat these cars that top out a 200mph they consider they beat the car... I like to think you just beat the driver. I've raced Ferrari's and beat them.. but deep dow I always felt that if it was a better driver then it would be a different story. The gearing on those cars is so rediculous I doubt most of thier latte drinking owners know how to put them to use.

I love DFW, never had a chance to take my car down there. I would get owned by most anyway, but I love the area itself. I'm there a couple of times a year to vacation and visit family. And I've seen a lot of awesome cars, I saw my first Ferrari 360 Modena at a Grocery Store down by City Place in Dallas, and I'm pretty sure there is at least 1 Enzo in a garage somewhere lol.

Does it count as "exotic" if it was made in detroit? I seem to remember somebody's cobra taking out a yellow GT.

this guy bought 4 gallardo's sold 3 of them for 275k and made a huge profit, enough to have his paid for, free and clear. he did it as an investment thing, borrowed the money from an investment banker, had 6 months to unload the cars to private parties... Lambo's list on the gallardo 160k, you cant buy one for under 240k at lambo of dallas at that time.

there are allot of exotic cars around here. i tried to get an older man in the new turbo bentley coupe to run me on I-30 near the ball park in arlington over a month ago, right in front of him was a Supercharged NSX. Both denied me a run.

im in the real estate business and sell house all over the metro plex, im out and about in my car, allot, so thats why its common for me. look up the specs on the F360, the Z06 has it beat in several categories. thats why the C5R hands its *** to the F360(race car) for 4years in a row. some of the performance the specs on the gallardo are very close to the Z06, 0-60, 0-100, 1/4 times... although rated at 500bhp... so maybe it was a driver's race, not sure. Both myself and the guy i was racing, race sportbikes on the track and off the track, does that mean anything, to me it does.

GT's are made in Wixom, not Detroit. So I guess they're exotic.

How'd you get 11.5 out of a P-1SC?
