Damn John. I was there and somehow missed that. Good job. At least Jerry got your race with the Viper on film.

Wow. Damn nice launch and great race! Thats the only mods you have in your sig, or were you juicing it too? If thats all you got in your sig, than your car must be severely lightened.

That was a 1.51 60ft.
I was spraying a 75hp dry shot but the bottle pressure was at 750psi. My ¼ mile ET only dropped .43 with the N2O.

awesome car/kill. But, why does your car smoke? (not trying to be an ***, im just curious about it, i see that a lot in the high performance LS1's etc.) or is that just tires??

Thanks!

Good question on the smoke.
I have no idea why it blows out black smoke. Well I know that it is incomplete combustion but I do know why.
My tune is great and dead on. The AFR is between 12.7 and 12.9:1 so it is not rich.
It smoked like that when it was stock, cam only, with different heads, different injectors and intake.
All that is left the block and pistons. Maybe one day I will get a new short block.
Hell it will probably still blow black smoke.

I heard some LT1's with the hot-cam smoked after cam install, I dunno, my car does not smoke but it smells like fuel and if i drive with the windows down my gf can tell, i have no emissions on the car currently, is this normal w/no cats, or is my "tune" off?

I've seen basic bolt-on cars blow out black smoke. I don't know why either.

I believe the Evos are programmed rich from the factory and that's why they smoke.
