F-body goes Down
Ran a Blk SS today from a roll (in the EVO) on my way back to the office today, we went from about a 10mph roll. i let him go first and put 1 car on him before going shifting out of first, by the end of third i had him by almost 3 cars and pulling hard. I let off as we were comming to an intersection, the guy was pretty cool, gave him a wave and went on my way.

[QUOTE=MONG00SE] I'm just curious because have you ever seen the 5mph to 60mph on EVOs? It's like 6.7 seconds or something.QUOTE]
Are you sure about that? I'm having a hard time believing that. I drove an STi a couple of weeks ago that was stock, and it was way quicker than that. I am assuming the evo is very similar in performance than the STi. Those cars are no joke.

[QUOTE=nascar20] I didn't say 0 to 60, i said 5 to 60. Form a 5 mile an hour roll on the car can't take advantage of an AWD launch plus there will be turbo lag. This is something that was told to me by a former EVO owner, not something I looked up myself. And 110 in a stock EVO is incredible , no wonder you pulled him.

Turbo Lag from a 5mph roll would be bad on an Evo...but still a stockish evo with exhaust shouldnt be putting any kind of hurt on a LS1 car from that low of a roll unless it was an A4 with 2.73's. Sounds like a LT1 to me.... but who cares... good kill I love the reel 'em in and walk 'em kills.

Post up a timeslip of that 110mph pass please- I'd love to see it. Not trying to hate on your car, but unless you've got more done you're keeping a secret-I can't see your mph being that high running stock boost. Impressive. Also, I'm curious why you spent the money on full exhaust and bov, but didnt buy or use a boost controller yet-and take advantage of free extra power you already have. Also, what part of the country are you in? At least you bought one with leather instead of that badass blue racing seats that evo's and sti's got. I've been writing GM everyday-begging them to put blue cloth racing buckets in the next camaro! Sweet.

reason i haven't done a MBC is because i have a AEM Standalone EMS with the GM boost solenoid sitting on my floor, i'm just waiting on my cams, and cam gears to go get it all installed and tuned.
I know My F-body's i know it was a black ss with chrome 10 spokes.....
The stock seats are nice the leather is heavy but i'll be putting some Sparco Seats in the car early next year when the cage goes in it.
I live in So Cal and the time was ran at Cali Speedway in Fontana.
Just to give you an idea i have a friend with an 05 gto (350 rwho 360 tq LS2 edit) and form a 60 mph roll i was right on his *** till about 130 then we both let off.

"Lag" on that twin scroll stock turbo is very very low even with a stock exsaust. With the full 3 inch, its even less. My shi##y old stock 14Bed DSM has a full turbo back 3inch, and it builds boost at very low rpms. That twin scroll wont have trouble. Hell, I have trouble keeping the boost down to safe levels because the turbo wants to spin bad with the exsaust. Its called boost creep and its a PITA.
Additionally, even off boost Evos have very mean gearing allowing those revs to climb very quickly even from idle in boost teritory.
Finally, what we are talking about is boost THRESHOLD not Lag. Lag is the time it takes for the turbo to respond to throttle input in its effective range. Basicly, how much delay there is if you romp it at like 3500 or something. Threshold is what RPM you start making boost.
